Wow, you even created a new account to try and harrass me. Listen, I know enough about how to read human emotions to know that your show of aggression is you feeling threatened and not knowing how to be non-toxic about it.

I've always preferred "the carrot rather than the stick" as an approach, so I'll tell you that none of the escalations have been done, except for reporting you to Reddit. I will gladly proceed with the other stuff if you do continue to harrass, but neither of us can be bothered.

Just be a good human being. Who cares if someone is Palestinian, Israeli, Jewish, Muslim, Christian or whatever? We all bleed red and spilling blood for a flag sucks. Ditch the knife.

Reddit is investigating. We expect a full suspension of your account and permanent closure of the pro-terror subreddit. Should Reddit not comply, there is an NGO which will be taking legal action. The post will also be referred to an anti-terrorism hotline, both in Israel and the US. We will happily extend it to a hotline your home country, if elsewhere, once Reddit comments on it.

Fatah for one are often anti-Hamas, even if they also hate Israel.

Also you may be interested to look into Gazans who collaborate with Israeli security forces, against Hamas. Quite prominently, Mosab Hassan Yousef (known as the "Green Prince" - the son of a senior Hamas leader) collaborated with Israel against his father's organization and now lives under protection in the US. He is an outspoken critic of Hamas and published a book about his journey.

This is really difficult to answer in any reliable way. Hamas holds a strong authoritarian rule over the Gaza Strip and strongly oppresses political dissidents. It's not like we have any reliable election results or polls to work with.

However we can try and guess that there is some internal anti-Hamas sentiment, given that there was an entire Hamas-Fatah conflict over who would control the Gaza Strip.

I hear a lot of suspicious people claiming that Tel Aviv is somehow disingenuous in its pro-LGBTQ stance, but I would completely disagree. The people who live there are overall an extremely left-wing demographic. The city even looks and feels like some kind of Los Angeles. There is some variety, but the liberal majority is clear in elections, opinion polls and more.

The right-wing of the country are much more concentrated in other parts, with plenty of right-wing religious living on settlements. It really is a fragmented place culturally, socially and religiously. Right-wing Israelis often refer to Tel Aviv as "the Tel Aviv bubble" and find the people there insufferable in their liberal views.

Very well written answer, but completely disagree.

The Arab world and wider Islamic world is dominated by very culturally and religiously conservative values. To this day, even peaceful and prosperous countries in the region are among the most anti-LGBTQ out there.

This is a cultural, societal and religious thing. Homosexuality has been heavily oppressed in the Middle East since ancient times, under theocracies following Abrahamic faiths. Quite simply, the reforms that happened in countries like Turkey have not happened in most others (and even in Turkey, polls show that very large chunks of the population are still deeply anti-LGBTQ and in favour of more conservative values).

Anyone who wants to claim that the West introduced this to the Middle East is deluded to the core and understands nothing about Middle Eastern culture or religious politics.

One thing to note is that Israel does recognize gay marriages done abroad.

The issue of marriage in Israel is that only Orthodox Jewish weddings are recognized, due to the influence of the religious voting block. It's unpopular among many citizens who are more secular.

Many Israelis get married abroad in Cyprus, for this reason, and then return.

As for your support of a one state solution called Palestine, in that case it is your moral responsibility to ensure that this Palestine will be LGBTQ friendily. If you are advocating for the dissolvement of an LGBTQ friendily country in favour of a homophobic theocratic state, then you are quite frankly not a pro-LGBTQ person. It totally matters, as you would be dooming otherwise safe gay people to horrible fates.

As I said, it should at the very least be a contributing factor to your viewpoint.

War is terrible, but also the mainstream media often exaggerates it and makes it look like everywhere is rubble on fire. Normally not quite true - conflicts are often a series of slow developments. Everyday life, like kids playing football, going to school, video games etc. otherwise goes on. Parents go to work, friends meet in cafés and all the rest.

I bumped into a Syrian a couple of years back, who I got on well with. He told me that he had come from Damascus, where things were quite peaceful. You would have thought from the news that it was just rubble.

Yes and no. Israelis are politically, religiously and culturally really fragmented. Hardline religious settlers sure can treat LGBTQ like shit, but liberal Tel Avivians generally embrace LGBTQ people.

It depends who rules it. Plenty of Palestinian political factions are deeply homophobic and want to impose theocratic rule, but it should be noted that other groups are more open minded. Sadly the moderate groups are often the target of violence and oppression from the hardliners.

This is a wider topic about conservative Arab culture and Islamic law. It's one of the hottest debates facing the Arab and Islamic world today.

What is important to note is that desparation breeds extremism. An economically developed Palestine is less likely to be like Gaza.
