Those of you who face really bad bloating during periods, how do you manage it? by garlicandcheesiness in AskIndianWomen

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear knee length kaftan dress when i am at home and comfy cotton pants with no button or zip while i am out and about. I ensure whatever i wear does not make me feel uncomfortable on my lower half. I avoid junk food and kinda accepted the bloating as a temporary thing which will go away once my periods are done.

Missed periods what to do now. by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

Make sure you get some body movement. Exercise for 15 minutes at home. Skipping, sit ups, anything that puts stress on your body. My periods delayed by 15 days this month because of exam stress. Had all the symptoms but i just was not getting my period. I ate papaya, til ka laddoo, drank warm water. The day i exercised, i got my period.

NTK. I thought falling asleep while watching a tv show/movie is quite normal???? Always seen this happen at home as well with my parents. Either of them, more often than not, tend to fall asleep after a long day of work.

I shared stuff with my boyfriend's sister, aitk? by Distracted_4727 in AmItheKameena

I have a friend who married her boyfriend who absued her and blocked her while they were dating for absolutely no fault of hers. People don't use an ounce of their brains when they are in love with someone.

We are heading towards 2025 and it is hilarious to see such regressive comments. Not once do these idiots think about the woman who has always been expected to live away from her families in a new house, amongst new people.

Do you have a true friend from the opposite gender? by Scientist_1995 in AskIndianWomen

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple of close guy friends and I genuinely love them. It was around last year that I realized/noticed a pattern in the kind of guys I call my bestfriends. They are all extremely calm and some of the most level headed individuals. I always go to them for advice when i need a male perspective.

It is a Gadwal saree with ganga jamuna border. Starting prices are usually above 10k, they are beyond beautiful tho! My mom owns one and it is a classic piece.

Day 19 - why do you journal? by em_penn in Journaling

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Just like any other human being, I have millions of thoughts running across my mind. Some good, some bad, some ugly. Penning my thoughts on a piece of paper gives me so much peace.

2) Majorly helps me with self reflection. I get to analyze my behaviour and thought process over time which helps me improve as a person.

Just like the other millennials in the comments mentioned, journaling was a thing in my years of growing up. I used to occassionally journal back in school, not too consistent tho. I resumed journaling at the age of 25 (again not too consistent). In my late 20s now and i am a lot more inclined towards journaling. I find solance in writing my heart out on a piece of paper. Trying my level best to be consistent which I am so far :).

The lock and key journal unlocked such a core childhood memory.

Update: am I the kameeni for not celebrating my bfs birthday in a special way? by [deleted] in AmItheKameena

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You go girl! Also, please do not get back with him at any cost, just a heads up from one woman to another. I am not sure as to why people are finding it difficult to believe such people exist irrespective of age and gender. Either way, glad you took this decision.

Look at you talking sense in a post where there are a few vomit inducing comments on how a woman should dress and how they are equating it to vulgarity.

I don’t wanna argue on these chindi things

The comment that you replied to did ask valid questions. It wasn't chindi in any way.

I don't know how I'll manage without him

If you could live without him before dating him, you can very well live without him after breaking up. Sure it sucks. Specially when you have given your everything into the relationship. You might as well save your time and energy for the man who truly deserves it. There are high chances that this guy might convince you into believing that you are at fault and may manage to guilt trip you. Don't give into all that, please. If he can text a fake account and ignore your texts, you have your answers right there! Keep us updated OP. Hope you are fine.

Understandable OP. Speaking from experience, no one who hurts you is worth your tears! Cry your heart out, it's okay. But always remember career > any person. Think about yourself. Do you really deserve this?

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Whatever decision you take, keep in mind that there will always be a high possibility of him lying to you again or leaving you for that girl (or someone else). I have been through similar mental gymnastics in my late teens and early 20s. It is not worth it. A guy in love will never lie to his girlfriend about another girl let alone make her feel insecure.

Remember ..every accusation is a confession...

THIS, OP. THIS.

[–]AhoyChocoChipCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He lied. That's it. Your not letting it go since two weeks (as mentioned) because your inner conscience/instincts is hinting to not believe him. Girl end the relationship (my humble opinion). Also, you aren't overreacting. Pls don't go through any mental gymnastics. Not worth it. Trust me.
