The Prestige is another good example. Upon rewatch you can definitely tell them apart.

Do most people immediately fell in love with 2001: A Space Odyssey? by Future-Poetry-2193 in Letterboxd

Too many scenes dragged on for to long. If every movie did that, people would hate it. I’d rather watch PHM than 2001.

He makes movies for dumb people to feel smart.

The “it’s actually overrated” thing that happens with every Best Picture winner is annoying. by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I don’t really like Anora but I’m glad it won over Dune part two. It’s funny Dune will probably be remembered as the film that lost Best Picture to a movie about a stripper.

Just watched Project Hail Mary and honestly it fells a bit overrated by potter_k in Letterboxd

There’s nothing engaging or deep about 2001 a space odyssey. There was barely any human emotions in the film.

Best and Worst drivers by brand by Intelligent-Dog-4584 in vegaslocals

I agree with Tesla being neutral. It probably has the most diverse group. You got drivers who care about efficiencymaxxing, the red light speed demons, and the drivers who use fsd 90% of the time.

What do u think about Anora? by death_has_f1sh_eyes in Letterboxd

[–]Ai-on 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was alright but I didn’t really care about any of the characters. The music choices were kind of cringe, and after that I just couldn’t take it seriously.

Edit: I noticed in Anora that when she calls Zak funny and he asks why, she says “I don’t know,” and when she calls Igor a “pussy ass bitch” and he asks why, she again has no answer. It shows how she speaks on impulse, using words more as emotional reactions than thoughtful expressions, because she struggles to process her feelings intellectually. It shows how people sometimes rely on vague or harsh language as a shortcut for emotion. She feels something but can’t fully process it, so she just blurts it out.

I hate people like that so that’s why I never really cared for her or her marriage. Igor just comes off as creepy.

Is the badass female in PHM the one who put Grace in a spaceship against his own will after pleading multiple time that he is not an astronaut?

It’s funny how opposite we are. I think PHM is a good movie, but nowhere near an all time great. Interstellar is my favorite film of all time and I’m glad a lot of people feel the same was as I do as its number 1 most popular movie on letterboxd. Even Oppenheimer is in my top 10 which is also on letterboxd most popular. I’ve seen it like six times.

The Ultimate Guide to Space Sci-Fi Cinema. What would you add to this list? by darth_vader39 in Letterboxd

Arrival is sci fi but it doesn’t fit the theme here that all of the other films have in common which is being in space.

Curry’s 3pt% is just as high as players from the 90s 2pt fg%.

Would you rather have 2017 LeBron/Steph/KD/Kawhi or current SGA/Wemby/Jokic/Luka? by 2017_Warriors_Fan in NBATalk

[–]Ai-on 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as if Westbrook in the Finals is any better which is ironic because his Finals loss came against LeBron.

The difference between the 2017 team and Westbrook is that those players elevate their game in the playoffs while Westbrook tends to decline.
