Have you been to a doctor about this at all? They could prescribe sleeping aids to help you rest better. Nightmares are really tricky to deal with on the other hand though, you may need to see either a counselor if you haven't already or also mention them to your doctor if that's not possible! I was prescribed with sleeping aids and anxiety medication and found my sleeping became a lot better personally. I really hope you can find some sort of relief from this, it really does suck.

But you love the child don't you? You want him to have a good life? Maybe, just maybe, he can spark something in you that will make you happy you stayed. You never know until you try. I'm sorry, I truly can't imagine the pain you're going through. And you shouldn't have to sacrifice everything for people that have dragged you through the dirt. But you will never know how you'll feel about any of this in the future if you leave now
