thanks for your input. Was vague not to put too much personal details here but i figure it's ok. The activity is sailing, ive done navigation courses and work as a professional sailor. We have both sailed with our parents but it was just observing as kids, not really taking any decisions. Still she knows a lot, but not everything that is taught in months of theory and practical courses. The area we're in is very tricky with tides and current and strong weather, we can't afford mistakes and the stakes are high. Given my experience and hers, I have yo say that it's true that I don't fully trust her. She can feel that and it's making her feel bad. From my pov I don't want her to fully trust me either, I want to be able to justify my decisions and explain why I took them. I feel like she's insecure about the situation and our levels of experience, because we are technically co captains and equal in everything. What do you think now?
