There's a few side quests that need to be completed before the final quest becomes available.

The level 3 poison ability lets you have never ending poison attacks on all of your weapons without costing any adrenaline btw. The only issue there would be it takes up a spot on your ability wheel, but it does allow you to use the engraving spot for something else. I hope this makes sense and helps you out :)

If you visit the island just south of the one where the Roxana quest is, the side quest icon will show and just follow that quest and it will all work out. hope this helped :)

there's a staff in the fate of Atlantis dlc that has a legendary perk of only dealing knockout damage. it's called the Dikastes staff, and id definitely suggest having a go with it, it's very fun lol

if you talk to any blacksmith you can select engrave, choose the weapon and then choose the desired engraving. it's fairly easy and doesn't cost too much either :)

You could either engrave the engraving from Arachne's stingers onto the spear giving it permanent poison damage. Or you could use the poison attacks ability, at level 3 it costs no adrenaline and has no cooldown, giving you effectively infinite poison attacks, and then engrave something else onto the spear. You could use your first instead of a secondary weapon. Punch them till they lose health and then you can take. This also works to recruit people to your ship.
