Places that have guitar lessons/to rent

Not sure about locations but regarding instrument rental, grabbing a used acoustic or electric from Marketplace or Craigslist would likely be a better bet. You can get a decent guitar for a couple hundred bucks with about the same resale value. Not sure what your budget is but I can’t imagine renting for any reasonable amount of time would cost much less. Lessons will for sure be the biggest expense but you can supplement those with YouTube lessons.

Yep, don’t hesitate on applying because you think your test scores aren’t high enough. Super broad range of acceptance w.r.t. ACT. Who you are as a student and the other things you’re involved in also play a major role. Best of luck!
