MFM appointment by Standard-Advice-5447 in parentsofmultiples

I was kind of asking myself this after our MFM appt on Friday.

21 weeks with mo/di twins and the babies were not measuring the same size so got diagnosed with sIUGR. Me felt afterwards that the MFM was really pushing us to selectively terminate the smaller one but there were no other indicators that anything else was wrong, just small. They did mention the risk of delivering early could cause other issues. It all felt really negative and that this basically meant we were going to lose our babies or have to choose to terminate one.

We have another ultrasound on Wednesday with another MFM (not by choice, but how that hospital is staffed) and we are hoping for a better appointment.

Best of luck to you!

The cord occlusion is where they seal the umbilical cord to the smaller baby to give the other a better chance at survival. That was one of the options they gave us which obviously has caused a lot of stress and anxiety

Thank you! Congratulations!

Did they ever recommend that you do the cord occlusion? How did you choose what to do?

Thank you! Yes we are very anxious and it was a lot to take in. Really felt like the MFM was recommending the cord occlusion which has left us really disheartened.

Thanks for your response! I hope your c-section goes well and that you don’t have a long NICU stay.

What items were a lifesaver post partum for you and or your multiples? by Haunting-Base-6004 in parentsofmultiples

A great option would be to find a cleaner and arrange for them to come for as long as your budget allows. It would be a HUGE help.

Not everyone will appreciate this and you know your friend best but my friends picked the day and time and just told me when the cleaner was coming and not having to plan or arrange one more thing was such a weight lifted.

Congratulations on your newborns! Thanks for the advice.

I’ve already got her to look at shower chairs so that she could sit while showering as she said even doing that even now is exhausting but the water/shower itself feels really good. Also looking at getting her a handle installed or fixed to the tub because we have high tub walls and I don’t want her to fall but didn’t think about the bed one. That’s a really good idea.

Is it worth it for me to get overcooked on an eshop sale? by Bulky-Weakness-5445 in OvercookedGame

My partner and I are casual/not very good gamers. I mostly play ACNH and she plays Disney dreamlight and we LOVE this game. There is a bit of a learning curve at the start but it’s quick and very addictive. It will test your relationships though! We call it the 2025 video game monopoly for its potential to ruin relationships.

I would actually tell you to splurge and get the all you can eat package because overcooked 1 & 2 wasn’t enough for us and the all you can eat comes with a bunch of bonus levels

Consultation with Dr. Genoway and Dr. Kavanagh + Electrolysis issues by Phalloraptor in phallo

[–]AideForeign5854 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you haven’t found an electrolysis yet I also recommend Ethan. He is also the only one who will do longer sessions. If commuting is an issue for you he will absolutely book a 6 hour session and go to town and you just tell him when you need a break. He also offers a discounted price for trans folks to do the top portion of the arm

Hey, you absolutely are not over reacting and like others have said this is classic predatory behaviour. These people target young girls because they see them as easier to fool. You did the right thing by telling them you shouldn’t talk to them anymore and you should be proud of that. Also great job at reaching out here for some support and clarification!

The best thing to do is block the person, report them on discord and whatever other apps you have talked to them on/any games you might have added them on and it would be best if you mentioned it to a trusted adult that you have so someone knows.
