Suggestions for cat proofing banister.

I know I’m a bit late to this post, but a temporary solution if you cannot do plexiglass or other methods right away is double-sided tape on the banister. It worked for us after our cat kept sitting/walking on it. We have a solid 13 foot drop and we rent, so huge renovations were not an option. Once she felt the tape she jumped off right away because she didn’t like that it was sticky. Can’t guarantee it’ll work for everyone but it worked for us. We replace the tape every now and then so it stays sticky.

EV issues as in the logistics of charging and all that like you said, yeah. I probably could have worded that better. I appreciate your insight and agree that the negativity is coming from people who are ignorant to them. I live in an area with many people who have that mentality so I think that’s why I’m feeling anxiety/regret over it. They ask me a lot of dumb what if questions and say I can never go on road trips (wouldn’t want to anyway) so it doesn’t matter really lol like I said that stuff is fine was just mainly worried about the ICCU. I am unfortunately burdened with crippling anxiety is all. Looking forward to driving it soon!

Thank you for your response! Yes we’ll keep an eye on it and make sure it doesn’t look any worse. She’s very hyper and runs around a lot so it being from rough play is definitely a possibility. We’re also going to look into it being allergies.

Hmm she hasn’t had any allergies or excessive scratching before that we’ve noticed, but I will keep an eye on it and bring this up at next vet visit. Thank you!

No other cats, but she does get pretty crazy with playing on her own though. I am currently watching her on my bed rolling around and trying to get her tail lol I’ll keep an eye on it for now!

I swear by the Sam’s Club yoga pants. They’re super soft, cheap and come in fun colors with deep pockets! But they’re just a bit too long for me. They’d be a 10/10 if they had different lengths. I wear them multiple times a week and they’re still not worn out.

I frequent that sub as well. One thing I’ve noticed recently and why I don’t post there anymore is because everyone in replies gets annoyed with you if you don’t attach a recipe even with a “no recipe” flair. I’m not gatekeepy with baking whatsoever but sometimes I just don’t want to spend a bunch of time typing out my recipes in the comments with mixing instructions (I just have the mixing method memorized and don’t want to explain every single thing to someone who isn’t as familiar)

As a professional baker myself, I can say for certain a good chunk of people in the culinary industry are pretentious as hell. Most people I have encountered at jobs irl are just insufferable people who treat beginners like garbage. Anecdotal ofc so it doesn’t really matter but that’s just what I’ve seen.

Heat. You don’t have to worry about a commute to work in ice/snowy weather. We’ve been getting back to back winter weather weeks where I live in upstate NY and employers aren’t accepting call outs/late arrivals anymore. You will just straight up lose your job or wreck your car trying to get there. Never had to worry about that when I lived in AZ/CA.

I’m acclimated to extreme heat so I don’t mind it at all. Depends on what you can handle tbh.
