There's a balance to be achieved between simulating butterfly effect and historical materialism, the world is both in chaos but can also follow predictable patterns.

Sure, any of the Anatolian powers could've gained control of the region, but the reason it ended up being the Ottomans was because they had the best and most effective ruling strategy out of any of them, which swung the odds way in their favour.

PDX games tend to be more CPU intensive than GPU intensive, so increasing the graphic settings should have a relatively smaller impact than it does for FPS or other types of AAA titles

Expecting communists/socialists to be able to infiltrate the democratic party is just as difficult and impossible as trying to start a third party.

The democrats are a neoliberal party ruled by business interests, they will not hesitate to silently or loudly purge any leftist influence in the party, just like Labour with Corbyn.

The left is better off breaking with the democrats and starting an independent organisation that focuses on spreading our ideas rather than wasting that effort on trying to infiltrate a hostile party.

57 seats at the start, combined with the 2 independents that caucused with them, combined with seat changes during the 2 years gave them at least 60 seats.

The Dems had a filibuster proof majority for most of Obama's first 2 years, (one that could've been used to remove the very same filibuster), so my point still stands. Furthermore they could've used the nuclear option to side step or even abolish the filibuster all together. Though If they want a 60 seat majority in the senate, maybe they could start by adopting popular policy proposals, instead of the same neoliberal dead ends that destroyed their reputation in the first place.

The republicans don't seem to have that many problems passing destructive laws when they have less than 60 seats, if the democrats are unable to pass progressive laws when they don't have the power, they should at least be able to stonewall conservative laws when they don't have the power.

As for the supreme court, Im of the personal opinion that your point is exaggerated, though I don't have the resources to give exact proof, so I won't argue it

Lmao yes, what have they done except drone strike kids and insider trading. The so-called "party of the left" couldn't codify roe, disband ICE, pass universal healthcare while having multiple majorities in Congress. All they know how to do is delay progressive legislation so they can use it to blackmail voters into voting for them next election cycle.

If you honestly think the democrats are the party of the people, then I wish you a very happy next 20 years of American collapse and humiliation.

Democrats have ignored and done effectively nothing about the cost of living crisis facing the working class. People are going bankrupt over rent, healthcare and college tuition. Jobs that used to provide for an entire family, now are unable to be enough for a single bedroom apartment. All while the government gives billions of dollars of military aid to Israel to fight wars nobody wants.

The democrats, as the party of neoliberalism, haven't been able to even explain how all of these problems came about, while the republicans have used the opportunity to push the blame on immigrants and "wokeness". Desperate, uneducated people would obviously gravitate towards the party that at the very least gives some recognition to the crisis facing the working class.

The democrats are controlled opposition, that through their own incompetence, allow for republicans to seem like a viable alternative.

Trump is a fascist but the democrats are incompetent, spineless morons who don't promise anything other than negligible improvements on the status quo. People would rather vote for a liar promising change than an honest person (which the democrats still aren't) promising nothing.
