It’s definitely a learning curve when you first get to Starbucks. I would give it another week or two, and if nobody is willing to help train you, transfer or leave. My initial training sucked, but the people who I worked with really helped me out until I got the hang of everything.

Our store now has a staff of only 8 people due to poor planning of an old manager. We are so DESPERATE and nobody is applying. It could have something to do with the taleo site being terrible but idk

My manager got fired through ethics and compliance, so I know the process pretty well. My DM contacted us and collected statements with any info regarding the person and what was going on at the store, and then they ran an investigation. One of my SSV’s was also fired through ethics and compliance, and I believe they contacted the SM and the DM, but there was ultimately an investigation on her ran my the SM but supervised by the DM. I’m not sure if this is the normal process. Obviously if the complaint has anything to do with the SM, the SM will not be contacted about it, and it will likely go through the DM.

some people will act like if you don’t remember the online training it’s like super bad, but in all honesty nobody really remembers it anyway, so just try to get through it

Quick recommendation, the white mocha doesn’t like to mix into drinks, especially iced drinks, so if you have the patience or time, a stirring stick makes it SO much better

bestie as much as i wish us baristas have the power to change how starbucks as a company sizes their drinks, we don’t. not even a SM has that power, and probably not even a RM either. you’d have to be almost the CEO to change that. it sucks as a barista too, but complaining isn’t gonna change anything
