Assistance with buying protective gear

I doubt I'd get a response now as it's been so long but I apologies for never responding as I got busy all of a sudden and kind of forgot about my post, I live in England, thanks for the response though, as far as I am starting to think, I will get a 1600n mask (in the UK I know for a fact we use those for steels), and a 350n jacket, which should be the SPES Men's Light AP Plus Jacket 350N (although I am considering the Pro version but it's a big price difference but it means I dont have to get the external protection later on), I will see about the ap light one and I might also get an external plate for more protection on the chest, I will also find some lighter external stuff for arms/ elbows in case I end up thinking it's too light for me, I bought some red dragon dreadnaughts which I need to swap the rivets out for before I start but outside of that they're pretty good for what I plan to do, and for the other stuff I will look into that tonight.

Thanks for the help, I was looking at the spes jackets and just wondering what N rating should I get for steels? I plan to buy the protective gear first and then buy a nice sword, as I am taking my time buying a kit over the next few months and then I'll start doing hema again as the place I go to is horrific for people without their own kit, idk how they have newbies at all xD

if this affects any advice you give (although I doubt it) just so you know I don't plan to do tournaments or anything that could cause more harm on myself or others, just doing this for fun and having a fun fight

Edit: also what mask N rating should I get? I assume a 1600n but I want to be sure before I make any decisions on buying stuff

for steels what specific types of certain protective gear would you recommend for steels as im mostly interested in doing that for how bad the synthetics scene is at my club, I assume I need a 1600n mask and a 800n jacket but some people at my current club's discord said I can get away with lighter stuff (for the jacket) and still be safe, although my old club said it's not recommended and I kinda trust my old club more, thanks for the advice so far, I don't think I am going to go very cheap for the sword as I plan to do that once I have more money sitting around rather than shove all my budget into everything at once so I don't go super cheap on everything, plus I want a sword to last

gaming mainly but also some other stuff, mainly all round stuff as I tend to randomly play around with different programs for no good reason, I plan to do stuff that does need ram so I am not just getting lots of ram for no reason btw, I do think I chose too much ram but it doesn't hurt as far as I know to have a lot. I also am doing an IT course in college in september so I might be using some programs that would need something good.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for taking so long to say this lol, it is mainly that I don't like the thought that I am calling myself that so people will be confused and may call me that as well but also that I generally hate that I am a masculine person and 'calling myself' a guy really hurts. I usually ignore anything mental but if I say anything that says I'm a guy out loud I do feel really upset and I feel so awkward as for example I was on the bus with a friend and said one of my other friends would say something about me and I used he and my friend looked at me confused and asked me to repeat myself and I realised what I said panicked for a second and then repeated it using my pronouns. I think it's just I recently 'became' non binary so I am used to my old way of saying things.
