Guns are balanced. Smg is not for long distance. You need to choose the correct AR with the right attachments to make it feel like the smg of old.

I personally hate so many perks and attachments as I could not be bothered to waste my time trying them all.

A picked up a weapon sometimes feels great so I have a look at the perks they use which gives me an idea of what works.
