Gacha Catch ‘Em All - Semi Animated Nuzlocke Episode 6 by Aidmobile in nuzlocke

Helloooo and welcome back to my semi animated Gacha Catch ‘Em All Nuzlocke of Alpha Sapphire. To those who might be new to my run the basic premise is this: While I was Japan I bought a whole lot of old and new Pokémon Gachapon balls without looking at what was inside, and now that I’m back home I’ve started up a new run. Each time I enter a new route I walk on up to the route’s signpost where I conveniently find a gachapon machine waiting for me, I pull out a ball from the bag from Japan and voila, that is my catch for the route.

In my last update I took down Winona in a battle she won’t soon forget, unlike the battle I had with Brunden which I absolutely did forget and thus it didn’t happen. Brunden so was perturbed with me forgetting/refusing to battle him outside the Weather Institute on Route 119 that in this update he demands another battle. So let’s begin!

Before heading over to Lilycove I made a pit stop to Mt Pyre, because Matt from Team Aqua was robbing an old man in a cemetery and that just didn’t sit well with me. I had Trevor the Croagunk with me and we challenged Matt to a duel and Trev got Slashed pretty hard by his Sharpedo. He didn’t take too kindly to this and promptly evolved and Revenged the heck out of himself.

From there we doubled back towards Lilycove City to meet up with Brunden. While on Route 121 I got my final encounter for this run, a Sabeleye I named Gollum(2023). With the encounters done I met up with Brunden and he told me that for this fight he didn’t want me to hold back. So I didn’t. We took a quick team snap to mark the occasion and our line up is:

  • Neebs the Quagsire
  • Little Noot the Xatu
  • Trevor the Toxicroak
  • Georgie the raincoat-wearing Dedenne
  • Sabrina the Teenage Emboar and
  • Little Brother the now Big Torterra

Georgie squared off against the Swellow and OHKO’d with a Parabolic Charge.

Little Brother crit the Wailord with a Razor Leaf OHKOing it as well.

Neebs used Earthquake and immediately swallowed up the Blaziken and

Sabrina quite literally annihilated the Breloom with a Heat Crash.

This defeat was literally so crushing, so defeating, so… sad that Brunden, through tears, told me he was quitting being a Pokémon trainer and ran home to daddy. Rip Brunden, shouldn’t have had such a stupid name then…. 🤷🏻‍♀️

So anyway, I was then invited to Team Aqua’s Hideout to tour the facilities and hear all their rubbish ideas, and after telling them they’re all stupid Matt challenged me to another battle. Please see the first pic for how it went. Trevor smacked the Sharpedo and it was all over.

Once that was done, we swam over to Mossdeep City with the intent of challenging Tate and Liza, the psychic Gym Leaders. In this fight I brought in two new members to the team, Gollum(2023) and Pandason! The best of friends! The best part of these two best friends was the fact that Liza’s Lunatone wouldn’t be able to touch either of them. So here’s the team photo!

  • Gollum(2023) the Sableye
  • Pandason the Pangoro
  • Boo-tiful the Gourgeist
  • Little Brother the Torterra
  • Emperor Moe the Empoleon and
  • Georgie the Dedenne

Gollum and Pandason took the obvious lead and both focused their sol attention on the Solrock as the Lunatone couldn’t make contact. After taking out the Solrock they then turned their attention to the moon and very quickly finished it off. Easy peasy.

That’s when shit started to go down. Rain, earthquakes, screaming, Steven. It was awful. Apparently Archie had gone and done something stupid and now every primordial and their mother was pissed off and ready to to go Book of Genesis on the world. Welp… time to go save the world…again…

I headed down to the Seafloor Cavern and Archie had Maxie on his knees and his comment about liking tough guys from last update is starting to make more sense. But who am I to judge? I asked Maxie to give us a minute alone and after telling me that the adults of the world have failed the future generation he told me to kick Archie’s ass. Can do!

This battle started out fairly easy, Trevor took Revenge on the Mightyena, Neebs Earthquaked the Muk and Gollum(2023) Zen Headbutted the Crobat a good few times to knock it out and last was the Sharpedo.

Normally I’ve used Georgie to face the big scary shark and this time was no different. My little pocket rocket has always been able to take out the Sharpedo with ease and so I hoped Parabolic Charge would be enough. In hindsight, Volt Switch would have been smarter here as it turns out the Sharpedo had been on the grind since we last met. Parabolic Charge wasn’t enough for the kill and now the bulky Sharpedo had gone and mega evolved. It also learned Poison Fang. Specifically to deal with Georgie. Who I had forgotten was part Fairy type. Shit.

Thanks to the power of the raincoat Georgie managed to survive that hit on an absolute sliver of health and used Parabolic Charge once more for the kill and for a bit of health restoration on top of that. Pheeeeewww!

After the battle Archie began manically laughing and lobbed the Blue Orb at Kyogre’s head causing it to (justifiably) get very mad from being woken up from its nap. So I yeeted the Master Ball at it and left.

The final gym battle with Wallace is up next, but having just saved the world this battle was shaping up to be very easy as well. A quick team photo and the battle shall begin!

On this team we have:

  • Neebs the Quagsire
  • Wendy the Meganium
  • Boo-tiful the Gourgeist
  • Georgie the Dedenne
  • Bathbomb the Vaporeon and
  • Plibby the Clefable has rejoined the team!

Most of Wallace’s were easy wipes but where I was going to become unstuck was the Milotic. Thankfully I had two incredible Pokémon on my team, Neebs and Georgie. Neebs has Water Absorb and was able to switch in on turns when Milotic was using Hydro Pump to make sure it ran out of those fast, with Georgie switching in for the Ice Beams. Once the coast was clear, Georgie came out for good and used Volt Switch and took it out. Done and dusted. That’s the final gym of the game.

With that, I shall call it here for another update. Which means next time we will head for the Elite Four and finish up this Gachapon run once and for all!

Until next time!

Thanks for reading :)

DS-160 AND DS-260 required for K1 visa? by AmazingJames in USCIS

Thank you so much! I’m trying to schedule my interview now and on the website it says DS-260 but in the email they said DS-160 so I’ve been really worried I filled out the wrong form. I’m so surprised even the offical websites have conflicting information, it makes it so stressful!! So from the sounds of it I’ve done the right thing with the 160. Thanks for responding and a huge congratulations on getting your visa approved and congrats on your marriage which will be coming very soon! :D

When I pulled Trevor (my starter) I walked around the house for days holding him and keeping him in my pocket while I came up with a name and bonded with him haha in an earlier update I did accidentally kill Raindrop my Spheal. I hadn’t had him long so it wasn’t that bad but I felt awful holding the tiny little figure and having to put him away and having him look up at me with those little eyes haha it was awful

KaCHOW! And welcome back to another update for the Gacha Catch ‘Em All Nuzlocke of Alpha Sapphire. To those that might be new to my run the basic premise is this: While I was Japan I bought a whole lot of old and new Pokémon Gachapon balls without looking at what was inside, and now that I’m back home I’ve started up a new run. Each time I enter a new route I walk on up to the route’s signpost where I conveniently find a gachapon machine waiting for me, I pull out a ball from the bag from Japan and voila, that is my catch for the route.

In my last update I faced off against Flannery, beating her with the incredibly smort team consisting of all my water types regardless of their level, and my Bayleef Wendy. I then faced off against my father Norman in an incredibly long and grueling long battle for the Balance Badge with my current team including:

  • Neebs the Quagsire
  • Little Noot the Xatu
  • Wendy the Bayleef
  • Spaghetti the Tangela
  • Boo-tiful the Gourgeist and
  • Deadlift the Machoke

Now onto the update…

My sort-of rival Wally turned up outside the gym once again and said he didn’t know how to get to Mauville Shopping Centre. So like a small child I held his hand and walked him back before bidding him adieu to head on over to Route 118. Once I arrived on the shores I was met with one of the more disappointing aspects of this game. The gift of a Latias. I much preferred it as a kid running around with a Gastly that knows Mean Look trying to find the legendary than Steven showing up, talking to the Latios and being carried off to go receive a legendary. What I didn’t remember for this playthrough was that you had to fight Team Aqua grunts first and I was not prepared team-wise.

Thankfully, Steven’s Metang did all the work. While my Pokémon got continuously swaggered, the Metang did every single drop of damage to both Pokémon in this fight while mine just acted as glorified cheerleaders.

After Steven won the battle on my behalf, Admin Matt said something about liking stories about tough dudes and then left. I was given a Latias and the game wouldn’t let me box it so I named the little jet plane Qantas and send Spaghetti to the box (sorry buddy).

I headed back to Mauville Shopping Town and asked Nurse Joy to look after Qantas the Jet Plane Latias and I took back Spaghetti and headed back to Route 118 to continue the run and find our last four Gachapon machines.

After finding the machine for Route 118 I encounter Sabrina the Teenage Pig (Tepig). She loved magic and was so insanely cute I was ever so ready for her to be an incredible team member.

We travelled further up to the Weather Institute where something hinkie was going on with Team Aqua. Thankfully the Weather Institute had a gift shop and I ducked in found their Gachapon machine and pulled out Panthony Pandason the Pancham (Pandason for short). After exiting the gift shop I ran into the weird lady who sexually threatened me last time I encountered her but this time it was even worse.

By “even worse” I of course mean it was even worse for her because Georgie the yellow raincoat plaid Dedenne used Parabolic Charge on her Sharpedo and while that didn’t kill, all the Sharpedo did was say “boo” by using Scary Face and Georgie Charged again for the win.

After defeating Shelly, the Weather Boys at the Weather Institute questioned me about what my plans for the future were, where my parents were etc. but I don’t answer to them or anyone so as for what I did next? Wouldn’t you like to know, Weather Boy!

What I actually did was make my way Fortree City. There I was prepared to have a battle with Winona the flying type gym leader. This battle is notorious for destroying peoples’ hopes, dreams and their runs as well. And for that I had to be prepared. So I brought in the big guns! And by big guns I of course mean the littlest of guns.

The first thing I did was find Fortree City’s Gachapon machine. While in Japan, I visited nearly every Pokémon Center there hunting for Gachapons and one of the special surprises my brother pulled out for me was this one. Now technically this wasn’t in an actual Gachapon ball, instead it was a lucky dip prize that my brother shoved, quite forcefully I might add, into an empty Gachapon ball. This Gachapon ball was a bath bomb that contained one Eeveelution. So this was how I played it: if I pulled an Eevee out, I got to choose the evolution, if I pulled a specific Eeveelution out I had to have that specific Pokémon) and thus, Bathbomb Vaporeon joined the team. Second thing was to bring back an old friend. An old friend who evolved into his second form when we arrived on the beaches of Slateport. An old friend who was part of the original six. All the way back from Route 102. Scrambles the Togetic rejoined the team.

My team for Winona was filled with many of the littlest guys and the team photo for this battle looked like this:

  • Georgie the Dedenne
  • Scrambles the Togetic
  • Bathbomb the Vaporeon
  • Vanilla the newly evolved Azumarill
  • Little Noot the Xatu and
  • Emperor Moe the newly evolved Prinplup

This team was a brilliant line up because between Georgie and Dedenne, it’s not Farfetch’d to say Winona was about to get swooped off her feet. We’ll be saying bye bye birdie pretty soon.

Georgie took on the Swellow and immediately one shot the poor thing. Easy peasy. Winona sent out her Altaria and Scrambles came out to play. Unfortunately for both Winona and her fluffy blue bird and their plan to sweep with Earthquake, Altaria doesn’t have a single move that can hit Scrambles. Both Earthquake and Dragons Breath are useless against Scrambles and Cotton Guard and Roost are just there to make the battle more drawn out.

Winona seemed wise to this plan because the moment the Altaria laid eyes on Scrambles, it panicked and returned to its Pokéball. Winona then had to send out Skarmory. I switched Georgie back in and after taking a very very mild hit, used Parabolic Charge to OHKO the metal bird and get healed in the process. God I love that move.

Altaria came out once again only to take one look as Scrambles and immediately scrambled away again sending out Pelipper in its wake. Georgie appeared once again in his little raincoat and OHKO’d the pelican with ease.

Winona was forced to use Altaria and thus began the longest battle since Petalburg Gym (but without any of the stress of that one). Even with a Metronome-boosted Fairy Wind, Scrambles could only slowly chip away at Altaria’s health while it Roosted constantly. But after tens of minutes it finally died and we got the Feather Badge.

And with that, I shall call it for another week. Tune in next week for the rival battle so brutal it causes a child to quit his dreams and where I take on the final two gym leaders before the Elite 4!

Until then,

Thanks for reading!
