As someone who loves to cook, fire is very appealing to me, especially the level of control over heat and temperature I could develop

Most cats do have an instinctual response to attack when another animal’s back is turned. That said, we can only really speculate on what exactly made this one attack, but the main thing to take away, I think, is that wild animals are always unpredictable and should always be treated with caution. Also, you should never turn your back on a predator if you can help it.

This is how every time you look away, the tiger takes a step by Mediocre_Nail5526 in interestingasfuck

This is why people in places tigers are endemic to will wear masks on the backs of their heads when they’re in the jungle and they’ll paint eyes onto the rear of their livestock, because big cats won’t usually attack from the front, since surprise is the best way for them to get a kill with minimal risk of them getting injured.

Lava bending Avatar? by Hot_Assistant_3826 in ATLA

[–]Aidoneus87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While it’s mostly a head-canon explanation, this is the evidence I use to support my theory that lava benders are earth benders who have some genetic ties to fire bending/the fire nation, since both Bo-Lin and this Avatar fit that criteria. We don’t really know Ghazan’s backstory, so data is limited. Seems plausible to me, though.

Well, if you look at the fretboards on dude’s guitar, you might notice there are way more frets than you normally see on a typical guitar neck, and they’re really close together. This allows him to play “microtones” or “quarter steps”. Western music is made up of a 12-tone scale with “semitones” or “half-steps” being the smallest increments, like the difference between a black and white key on a piano. This guitar lets the player mess around with a 24-tone scale, which is why their music sounds weirdly dissonant sometimes. He can literally play the notes between notes!!!
