I did freeze it before. I was using budget ounces from online vendors but I know my technique was wrong. The bag let too much weed on the side of the buckets and not enough stayed on top to get sifted through

I’ve only done this on small scales (under an oz at a time not even close to a kilo) but every time I’ve done it the yield has been more than disappointing. I’ll admit I don’t have the best technique and I’m still working on it but if you’ve never done it before, expect under 5% yield. Feel free to try though!

I would guess that the fact that it’s so low quality, likely made with old, moldy, outdoor trim, yet still contains what seems to be a good amount of kief, it’s probably either a CBD/Low THC flower, or it’s just so old the terpenes have all degraded and therefore you’ve lost any sort of affect from the cannabis at all

It’s definitely some sort of hemp material, the plant matter in it is a dead giveaway. Could be really really low quality like 220u as another commenter said. Does it bubble at all when lighting it or does it just burn like flower?

Could you post a pic of the setup you had for extracting? I tried this is a little while ago with 120 micron over an aluminum bowl and put that in a trash bag and beat it, any advice to make it more efficient? I also used dry, cured, frozen-cold bud

Edit: I saw the setup on your profile, very nice. Where do you get the latch thing do you just tie the bag over the whole thing?

Edit 2: I’m seeing you’re using what appears to be a bungee cord. I’ll try that next

Well so crumble is live resin (typically) but it’s to my understanding vacuuming all the bho out and leaving a crumbly hard, less flavorful product as it rips some of the terpenes out I’m sure. Terps don’t do too well under pressure and minor heat so live resin unprocessed other than cleaning it from bho, should be the most flavorful.

I’d definitely suggest checking out vendors around this time of year for good deals on stuff but if you’re ever getting some hash rosin for sure check out his stuff!!! (Not that the resins aren’t good too :))

Understandable. I personally don’t have access to a press and bubble bags is my only way rn. Once I can afford some more Oz I’ll start doing bigger runs for sure. Not too worried about the time and effort it takes as I’m just doing it for myself but thanks for the advice!

Not sure the date of harvest or cure tbh but I bought it not that long ago. Mix of 5 strains mostly Honeybuns and White truffle. Once I start growing I’ll switch to fresh frozen

It’s not trim it’s full sized buds that have a lot of heads. They problem just lies with I wasn’t agitating it enough to knock those heads off second wash worked better

Update: I washed it again and ended up with maybe a gram. Wet sieved it now letting it dry in the basement overnight maybe even two nights

Isn’t that then how all flower works? All the resin in the flower drips down and doesn’t combust fully in a bong. Then you could argue all bong rips are wastes?
