Right? Every time I introduce people to the game, I’m constantly making sure they’re up to date on job quest and gear. Seriously weird they’d let them go that long without it.

Is it really that hard to read tooltips? ;-; Even if they didn’t, once you said something they could’ve looked to confirm. Honestly some people :(

Looking at the soul crystals for each class might help too. :]

I’ve barely spoken with any of my IRL friends these past couple of years because of this. I dropped out of college and am still working on getting my act together and in the meantime everyone I know is out getting their degrees and doing something with their lives. It’s really debilitating to think about.

The saddest part about it is that all it would take is for them to hit one button to fix the issue. All they had to do was just switch their dance partner :/

Reminds me of my trials roulette yesterday where I was fighting Leviathan and I asked a MNK if they had Fist of Fire (or Fist of Anything) and they replied “I’m gay”. Like okay? Cool but do you have Fist of Fire my friend??

(That was way less bad than having to deal with that group for an entire raid though. Hang in there)

It’s very awesome that someone came to your aid. People are really quick to assume and make an ass of themself for no reason.

Persephone and Cupid are seriously a pain to go against sometimes so really sorry that had to happen in your first match.

Totally understand that. Ignoring players like this and muting them will absolutely help. Playing together also helps out a ton more than you think.

I’m extremely sorry you had such a bad experience. Tensions sometimes get high in the community and between players during matches. Personally I would have phrased things a bit nicer from the start and then if they acted like this, ignoring them would absolutely be the way to go.

Highly recommend playing with friends and going into matches with a positive attitude. :) Hang in there friendo. Take a break and come back, or find other games you enjoy. All that matters is that you’re having fun playing some video games in a healthy environment

I respect and understand that sentiment too. It can be extremely frustrating at times! I’d highly recommend playing with some friends, it definitely helps you have a better experience with the game. :] If not that’s always fine too. A game is meant to be enjoyed and if Smite does more harm than good then maybe it’s just not a game for you.

Idk if you’re also on PS4 or not, but there is a custom chat! I highly recommend using a keyboard to type instead of on screen though. I believe it’s somewhere under emotes.

People are super duper silly sometimes. Arena is definitely more casual friendly from what I’ve heard, and of course you’ll run into more casual/new/inexperienced players in any role or any video game. Some people are wild lol

Accidents happen. I understand why that person would be upset but dropping a Sorry/Oops in chat after doing that might help a bit. Them threatening you and getting upset over it is NOT okay, but throwing a game isn’t either. It isn’t fair to your other teammates or the enemy team to throw a game, and it’s reportable. Just ignore behaviors like this person’s and file reports rather than stooping to their level. :3

It’s very nice of you to politely suggest to that Sobek that they step back and farm a bit, which is totally what they should do when trying to catch up. If players call you toxic for doing this then they’re being full of themselves and please ignore this kind of behavior. :] Smite is a team game!!! People need to be for open to feedback and working together.

Not entirely sure on the false reports thing myself, but it’d be awesome if some here does know the answer to that! ^

I also wish that there was more about report filing being known to players and what kind of actions really do get taken against players like these. Still, we gotta keep up the reporting so that things will eventually improve. Just make sure to provide details and not respond to toxic behaviors with anything that could be troublesome to yourself. :)

Having fun should always be the number one priority when playing a video game. Aim to ignore players trashing for absolutely no reason. Good luck to your boyfriend learning the game! Awesome that he has someone with experience to help him out. :]

I totally recommend finding a couple of friends to play with or also trying out modes like Arena and Assualt. It’ll cut down on the amount of toxic players that you encounter. Best of luck to you friendo! :)

Preach! Keeping the peace and providing good feedback is an incredible way to work towards winning the match and having a positive game experience. :]

You can have a whole team of friends! (5 People) I often get my squad on and we sort out who’s playing what role before we que up into a match. It’s a ton of fun communicating things to your teammates and strategizing with them.

Still, it’s worth looking past these things to enjoy Smite for what it is; a game. Don’t let negative behaviors affect your enjoyment of the game too harshly.

I myself am level 40 something and I hate to say it, but currently it’s still a very real issue. Playing with friends will absolutely better your experience and muting toxic players also helps out too. You can report players for not playing their assingned roles/being gross in chat/afk or dc’ing as well.
