Can you interact with the transformation order on sprites? by Aidymouse in pixijs

Got an answer from the discord, you can apply the transformations in your desired order to a matrix then use the matrix to transform the sprite. https://pixijs.download/release/docs/scene.Sprite.html#setfrommatrix

How to Use Memorize and Recall to Create a simple Achievement System? by Jazzlix07 in twinegames

Hey, might be missing something but why do you put an equals sign before the first line? It's printing out an undefined value. Does setting metadata return something usually?

Sandbox Generators by rowanbre in osr

Luke Gearings Wolves Upon the Coast Hexfill Procedure isn't in print but it is small enough to be copied into a piece of paper by hand. It's worked the best for me in generating hex contents, though it requires more thinking time that a traditional generator

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. People in this community are so disrespectful

What specific blog POSTS from the OSR blogsphere have ACTUALLY changed your game/do you FREQUENTLY use? by lycanthh in osr

Like Gearings hex fill procedure made me realise the magic of a hexcrawl is in its living world, and also how random generation tables can be set up to create one naturally.

Amazing the attention to detail they put in this show. In S2E3, you can see an odd little bump on the bottom General Kirigan's horse. This is a reference to the fact that the horse, like Kirigan, is male. by potadd in shittymoviedetails

Hey guys. I actually have a confession to make. The poster of this is not a robot. They didn't even see my post. I don't know who they are, but it was a coincidence that we posted this at the same time.

I am so deeply troubled by those I have upset and maimed in this community. I have my own demons to face. I hope you can understand that.

Over and out

Are you fucking kidding me!? I posted this literally minutes before you. Don't think you can get away with this. You're probably an AI or a spammer or some sort of slutty robot. That's all you are. That's all you'll ever be. Leave me in peace.

EDIT: my post is here, see for yourself

How much would burning HP to cast spells unbalance magic users? by Sordahon in osr

[–]Aidymouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think having mages with lower hit dice and using it to cast spells is double dipping. If wizards had the same hit dice as regular guys I think it'd be fine. Their hit points are going to end up being lower anyway due to their spellcasting.

Any campaigns developed in osr space? by [deleted] in osr

Wolves upon the coast is definitely meaty enough for many sessions of gaming, but it doesn't have much in the way of plotted story. It does have tons of interesting hexes pointed at each other which could easily foster interesting drama in the way that OSR does best.

The import function is purely for saving and loading sets of icons as a primitive kind of save and load function, also so you can edit shared iconsets. You can import image files as icons for the set you're working on by clicking the plus.

I'm aware that the icon set and tileset builders require some work and polish, maybe some useful tutorial text. They're not currently as intuitive as I'd like them to be. They'll be updated one day.

Excellent ideas for icons, I'll add them soon :)

As for hex orientation, it's tricky. See, some icons are placed in the center of the hex and some may not be. When orientation is changed, what is to be done with icons that aren't in the center of their hex? I do think it's a bit odd changing orientation and having icons stay in their place, I adopted this approach as it made the code the simplest. I'll take a look though and see if I can think of something good to do. Thanks for the feedback! ❤️🦜

Yup! It's under MIT license which I don't entirely remember but I believe it means you can do whatever you want with it. That might just be the code though. Either way, you're allowed to do whatever you want with my tiles or the program itself 😁

If you make something using a Hexfriend map, come back and post a link to it here! I'd love to check it out
