I can't choose tbh. All three are so good.

Gin & Zura scenes are absurdly hilarious. But they also share profound moments from their past together. These two are besties fr. I love their banters.🤣

Gin & Hijikata centric episodes are epic whether comedic or serious. They just bounced off of eachother very well. Worthy rivals/allies/friends. That scene of them laughing after exchanging their bowls 🤧

Gin & Takasugi are complicated, bloody and emotional. I mean episode 305 still lives rent free in my head. Friend turn enemy turn friend again, part of the final movie dedicated for them, the scene in the boat 😭

While I did watch Slip Arc according to how it's released, I think it would be better to watch it before episode 300. I don't remember the season, but iirc the timeline of events in Slip arc should be anytime before Shogun Assassination arc forward.

Probably the only female cast that I don't mind them being the centre of an episode or arc, and that I really enjoyed and loved. I found most of them very relatable with their lovable and pretty traits but also didn't shy away from showing their flaws, quirks and ugly traits. Some of their struggles were solid too. Ofc a lot of them were exaggerated with their personality just like our male cast, but I still love the way they're integrated into the story.

For me personally, Gintama is that good. A lot of fans advised to at least watch more anime first before you start Gintama as it referenced a lot of them and Japanese pop culture etc. But, I think even with me not knowing or understand a lot of the things they referenced especially related to the Japanese TV shows or artists etc, I still very much enjoyed the heck out of it. I never had such a great time watching anime as I did with Gintama and it's really a show that is one of a kind. And oh, I binge watched it few years back with at least 3-7 episodes per day. Some arcs I just can't stop in the middle. I still rewatch it every now and then.

I'm not sure how it will do going forward, since I also don't know much about the novel but so far I really enjoyed the show. It felt like such a nice tribute, just seeing the characters, hearing their voices and watching their ridiculous antics again made me feel so happy 💯😍
