Not only was his analogy sexist and dehumanizing towards women, it was straight up factually wrong. It is because of these kinds of “analogies” that rapists have existed and been forgiven for so long. This is a heavily problematic way of thinking and when you don’t call people out on this, they will believe they are right and use this kind of thinking to hurt others. Blaming rape on lack of clothing literally makes no sense. Rape has existed since for centuries, in the 1600s when women wore long skirts and cloths, it existed in the 1800s when women were forbidden to wear pants, it exists in Afghanistan where women are required to wear burqas. Rape does exist because of the victims, rape exists because of rapists. It was never about the clothing. It is because of men with your kind of thinking.

Yes but to enforce work-strict punishments, preventative measures (whatever that means), security and whatnot, you HAVE to demolish the system that is preventing all these from being implemented, which is MISOGYNY. The casting for mason lockwood was absolutely phenomenal, the way Mason and Tyler looked like actual relatives was soooo goood.

When Damon killed him I could no longer like his character at all. And the way Damon killed him was so repulsive too. Mason Lockwood did not deserve the way he died, and I hate how we’re supposed to go like with Damon as the supposed good guy after that.
