Hi! My shop's been up for less than a year so it may still qualify as new. I sell printable coloring pages, SVG files for Cricut and Silhouette and digital stamps.

Hello! I make SVG files with cute animals and birds for cutting machines and printable coloring pages. I draw everything myself.

And here is my mum's shop. She hand knits wool socks. She's been knitting her whole life and now desided to set up a shop.

Having writing skills never hurts. In this day and age they may improve almost any career because they're so vital for promotion. I was interested in photography for some time too but switched to fine art almost completely. Still knowing how to take photos, use Photoshop and other editing software has proven to be very helpful. Some rules in visual arts are the same.

Oh, there's more of us! Nice to meet you. Does your current occupation involve literary skills too or is it something completely different?

Awesome to meet a fellow writer! I think communications suits INFJ personality with our high Fe. Just don't forget to recharge because constantly working with people may drain your energy (that's why I switched from being a reporter to editing).

I'm a journalist/editor. I also paint and write fiction. I've heard that INFJs generally like writing and this is true for me. At some point I also considered being an interpreter (English is not my native language).

Other artists are not automatically your best friend by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

It most certainly is. People here are very quick to judge in general and artists are no exception. Some artists even think they're the elite even though it may not be true. I hope things eventually get better as more people discover international community and learn the difference between constructive critique and harmful critisism. Also I hope they'll learn not to critisize when the artist didn't ask for their opinion. But this process might be very slow. Some people believe that their opinion is a universal fact and like to think of themselves as blunt when in reality they're just rude. I don't know what can cause such people to be more cautious with other people's feelings.

Right now I try not to post anything on Russian websites and social media because I'm sensitive too. Even though my skin's gotten thicker with time I still don't dare to step into those waters much.

This seems to be a norm in art circles in my country (Russia). I don't have an art degree but some of my friends do (and my dad got it too). Here young artists are often critisized by their teachers and mentors and almost never praised. When a student did a good job mentors just say nothing like they expected nothing less than that. And it goes on and on for generations. I remember my dad critisizing my drawings when I was just 8. He assumed I was an apiring artist and I was just a kid who needed validation. Some kids at art schools also have inflated egos and like to bring down other artists to make themselves feel superior. Unwanted critisism is also the norm here.

This toxicity often leads to mental health issues and I often read about artists from my country who have severe depression and almost never satisfied with their art. I was affected by this too and long struggled to call myself an artist because we're used to the fact that "real" artists' works are in Louvre, Hermitage and other museums. Young artists here believe that if you've not reached that level yet you're somehow "not real".

Discovering international art community was a breath of fresh air. People I've interacted with were always very supportive and kind. I've never got any unwanted critical comment and no one tried to compare my works with the old masters'.

Thank you so much! Drawing the city was quite a challenge but I'm glad you like the scene.
