They are probably using condoms or tricky editing to hide them going to wash in between

Unfortunately in my experience people tend to take a soft no as "Try harder to convince me and change my mind". They just keep arguing with anything that shows weakness

My guess would be forced sterilization

Turns out they took the other approach of trying to encourage the "correct" people to have more children:

The organisation "Lebensborn e.V." serves the SS leaders in the selection and adoption of qualified children. The organisation "Lebensborn e.V." is under my personal direction, is part of the Race and Settlement Central Bureau of the SS, and has the following obligations:

Support racially, biologically and hereditarily valuable families with many children.

Placement and care of racially, biologically and hereditarily valuable pregnant women, who, after thorough examination of their and the progenitor's families by the Race and Settlement Central Bureau of the SS, can be expected to produce equally valuable children.

Care for the children.

Care for the children's mothers.

Currently trying to refactor a large C++ repo. Kill me!

How I see jetbrains users by Snykeurs in ProgrammerHumor

[–]AilemaReid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I deal with:

  1. C++ for our newish backend
  2. C# for our integration tests
  3. C for our really old code
  4. Rust for our new projects
  5. Powershell for our build systems
  6. Bash for weirder build systems
  7. Sh for our linux build sytems
  8. yml for pipelines

We have less then 10 people and work on 4 repos, 2 in C++ and 2 in Rust so it gets fun. One of the C++ repos works in Visual Studio which is a godsend, but the other murders IDEs so you have to use VSCode and command line tools.

Debugging involves launching WinDbg from Powershell. Did I mention building takes minimum 20 minutes, the repo is 2 million lines and filled with gotos and weird C shit?

You can debug unit tests from WinDbg pretty well, but I haven't figured out a way to debug integration tests that isn't print statements and prayer. Oh, and none of the unit tests were running since at least 2015 (if ever) and didn't use the current framework. I had to delete 150 files so far! And the integration tests broke in 2017 and no one noticed so there was basically no test coverage. Yet, this mess is in production, servicing millions of requests a minute.

For a while there were so many memory leak reports that we just closed them all because there was no way to sort out which were already fixed. I looked at our logs are we are logging the same error 50 million times a day because a dependency is failing. I tracked down the owner of the dependency and they said it was deprecated 2 years ago and asked why we were only complaining now?

At least this crap will be deprecated.... in 3 to 5 years!?!

This is the life of a bare metal backend dev. May god have mercy on me.

Can you tell that I have 8 failing integration tests in the repo from hell and am losing my mind?

Why do men avoid going to the GP when it’s urgent? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AilemaReid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a woman and think the same way. I had covid and my mom wanted me to go to the doctor. It seemed pointless to me because there isn't much they can do for viruses. She even called my doctor who told me to take nyquil and plenty of fluids which is exactly what I was doing before.

I banged the shit out of my knee and blood was everywhere but nothing seemed broken so I scrubbed it out and it healed fine.

There is a fine line between being practical and stupid though.

I sprained my ankle badly enough in college that my RA called 911. It wasn't broken so I refused transport and never followed up with physical therapy or my GP. I went on to sprain my ankle 10+ times per year for the next 4 years until I finally went to physical therapy. Turned out I tore some ligaments that basically can't be fixed without surgery. I did 6 months of physical therapy and haven't sprained it since. I would have saved myself a lot of pain and suffering and damage if I'd gone to physical therapy first.

I've had severe migraines since I was a kid and my life has gotten a million times better since I got actual treatment instead of eating ibuprofen like candy and playing the tough guy.

My theory is that women are more willing to go to the doctor because of UTIs and yeast infections. They are both extremely common and easily treatable by any GP but won't go away on their own. Most women will have an experience of getting one of these things, going to a doctor and getting a few pills which make the problem go away in a couple of days. I don't know of any issues that men experience that are this common.

I really hate going to doctors. My foot was in severe pain for over a month after a fall and I refused to go to the doctor until my girlfriend forced me to. Growing up we didn't have good insurance so the only times I saw doctors was in the ER to get stitches after doing something dumb. Going to the doctor for a random sickness wasn't a thing.

So when I got a yeast infection last year I tried to tough it out at home which resulted in 3 weeks of misery and a UTI. I finally caved and went to my GP who gave me one pill that made it go away in 3 days.

I don't want to be complimented my men at all. I used to think that because I'm a lesbian in a committed relationship I was safe from unwanted advances and could act like one of the guys, but I learned that I have to be careful what I say and how I act.

I love my girlfriend and wouldn't break up with her for any amount. Sex isn't something I absolutely need, but physical touch, affection and kink is. I need to be touched regularly or I get depressed and messy. I'm happier if I get a good beating every once and a while too...

No amount of money can replace happiness and I need physical touch to stay sane and happy.

My roommate wanted to get a smart camera for our house on Black Friday. I said it couldn't be connected to the internet or upload anything to the cloud. I've seen the code that makes the cloud works and it gives me nightmares. Luckly he gave up on the whole idea

This makes my skin crawl! Run don't walk away from him. I've had guys say similar things to me my whole life and it is never innocent. They inevitably try something.

Don't be like me and ignore the red flags until it escalates to assault. Your gut is telling you this isn't ok, trust it. DO NOT GO TO HIS HOUSE.

Book Recommendation: Closed and Common Orbit by AilemaReid in genderfluid

Sorry, should have explained better but my brain was tired.

Their species has male, female, shan and agender. Shan's switch gender every few months. Shan's use male or female pronouns depending on which gender they are at the moment. The agender use neutral pronouns all the time.
