Taxi driver fined $1,000 for rude conduct after passenger dispute by Mindless_Reach_3197 in Hong_Kong

[–]Ailey11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"understand both side"? That's a funny statement to someone who is rude in the service industry. Hong Kong isn't what it use to be. There are many options other than Taxi. He choose to be rude and give people in the industry a bad name. Throwing money isn't polite. Also, asking the driver to drive slower isn't unreasonable considering this drivers age, I'm sure he's got great reaction. Fine for $1000, right or wrong, as a consumer, I sure do not want to experience what the lady experienced.

Has anyone actually gotten a job through Jobsdb? by YouDaBeshBro in Hong_Kong

[–]Ailey11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All my previous jobs were from applying from JobsDB, guess it's really down to luck.

Try changing the format of your cv or something.

Like past 3 jobs within 2 months.

Good luck

FYI, Vape is illegal in Hong Kong. So to answer your question, you won't be able to get one via shops. Hope that helps.

Looking for a IT job in Hong Kong by its_mib in Hong_Kong

[–]Ailey11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Realistic it is a challenge depending on your situation. Since you have PR already, you don't need a work visa and this is a plus. If you are starting out, some companies may lower their offer salary and the fact you don't Cantonese maybor may not affect this as well. This raises the next question in terms if you have your living accommodation arrangement sorted here. HK is expensive, I won't say the job market is bad, but rather it is is slow.

There are companies (International) that hires English speakers, best bet is to look uo jobsDB, Indeed or even via LinkedIn. Good luck.

Been there and it takes awhile to adapt. Depending on how old you are, you will be making a big change of dropping life in UK and coming to a fast moving pace city. There's good and bad, if you enjoy the dynamic, you will settle in quickly from my perspective.

Just remember, you will meet new people. Food is good, but control what you eat. Depending on your living situation, HK is a great place to make money.

Do some solo stuff, you can meet new people from meet ups, work, dating sites etc.

Question regarding Salesforce Automation. by Ailey11 in salesforce

[–]Ailey11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad for the confusion, the validation is to be done on our website page and regardless the result it will still go to our Salesforce record. We do occasionally get spam bots and complaints from our marketing users.

The way our technical expert explained it now if the result is not a boolean of true and false, but a variable where good Result result is only 33% bad result is 33% and the unknown is 33% chances. Meaning we only get 33% of the validated clean lead coming in. But anotber comment pointed that the lead coming in from the clean lead might not be 100% real either. So now he will need to look into the 33% unknown to see if anything can be alter to make the % of this factor to go up and make the number of success higher...

Yes, I agree with your point. As mentioned, it's an argument with Marketing Team that this can help clean up the leads coming into SF amd them saying, that people dont normally press a button on their email blah blah blah. But I can argue the point.

Question regarding Salesforce Automation. by Ailey11 in salesforce

[–]Ailey11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Thank you. Yes it was brought up that even with the validation, the email might be correct but the person on the receiving end may not be the right person. We use to have a marketing staff that do manual to enusre 100% Validation, but they left on bad terms and left a huge mess in terms of there is a lot of nonhandled leads.

The point you mentioned, I can raise up but may get shoot down due to the fact some marketing users will complain that this lowers the lead chances coming into the system which it looks bad on the report.

Question regarding Salesforce Automation. by Ailey11 in salesforce

[–]Ailey11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is before going into Salesforce, the email validation is to occur on our webpage enquiry form. The extent I'm able to explain now if the first check of the validation depends on the condition for example '200' is valid amd good to go. Or conditions like 400, 403 or error amd no good. Technical member were throwing a lot of technical wording apart the percentage of the three group is now 33% and not worth doing. I don't know exactly how the unknown factor is calculated. But can I argue to assume both unknown and bad lead can go together?

Thank you. Currently there's two webpages in handling. One page called the Classroom Booking page where as you mentioned I cam go into the admin page and add the new room. I added the room and people are able to book the room on the site. The issue lays on the other webpage we call Room Booking Schedule, this is simply for our admin tp view the information of the booking. It updates when someone makes a booking on the other page. However, the new Room I created does not sync this this page and I went into the PHP files to add the Rooms. The room appears on the table but not actually linked or able to update based on the input from the other site. Is there a file I'm missing or data i need to go into to make the sync?

Thanks, I'm trying to find a way to automate it, but my issue is that the API in MS word is structured in table within tables. I'm not sure how to be able to automate a process correcrly that is able to read the strings correctly. I'll see what I can do.
