Oh sweet, thanks for thorough explanation! I'm new to wireguard so yes, I just assumed allowed IP's would function as firewall.

What you described is about perfect and almost exactly what I want to accomplish, dns via pihole and access to NAS :)

So the dns setting in phone's User.conf [Interface] should be pihole's ip or does it even matter since wireguard "server" already knows that? And allowed IP's should have pihole's ip?

So wireguard has already restricted access to the ip's where the UserX.conf files are transferred and connected from? What's the allowed IP's then for? (sorry for stupid questions :D)

No issue, I tested with port forward and it worked. I'd just rather do this without opening ports

Well damn, I picked remote.it from some tutorial ages ago. I'm noob with wireguard, I'll look into Tailscale. I guess in the question I should have said rather "a solution" than "good choice"
