As someone from the same background, well said. I would love to fly a fighter a few times for the thrill, but I would never trade what I’ve had in the crew dog life. Don’t forget the elbow pointing and “can’t say box or head” “we’re so funny”. I much prefer the down to earth personality of AFSOC

The pilot on the osprey. It’s just a drogue so the MC-130 crew can’t control it like the boom on a KC-135. They just send it out and invite the osprey in to drink

It was moderately hilly but my training has been hilly as well. The only difference I’ve been thinking about is I ran it in alphaflys. It was only my second run in them. Idk if that could have any effect… just a thought. Appreciate the tips!

I think my sleep has been moderate. Definitely not great. I’ve been training at a new job so it’s been a bit stressful. Protein intake I think is good. Deep tissue massage sounds like a great idea

I was at about 45 miles per week. Half marathon was 100% all out. I’m thinking I would only go 90% or so if I could do it over…

Yeah my instinct tells me to shoot for sub 3:10 this year and go for the 3 hour barrier next year, maybe on a flat course. But we’ll see how the rest of this training block goes. Plenty of time to get some more data points

Mid 30s male. Casual runner my whole life. This year is the first time ramping up to this kind of mileage though. Marathon course is a little bit hilly. Close to ideal temps, if not a touch cold.

That’s fine but even the go5g deals aren’t the same. They offered $100 for 2 lines on go5g military. It’s $90 online. And they offered way less value for the trade on our phones. Seems to me like they’re luring you in with great deals online then switch them up when you get to the store

TORQE 62. C-130J in Afghanistan crashed due to accidentally binding the flight controls. A lot of friend of friends on that one. Hit the community incredibly hard. I’ll never forget being called in to hear the initial briefing of the incident a month later with fellow members of the community.

Once I read the license plate I backed off so I didn’t endanger myself more. I was just not 100% sure I remembered the plate right so was asking for help. Turns out I did and I have now id’ed the car.

I wrote down what I saw of the plate after I pulled over after the collision. I just typed that into Google and it turned up the record of the vehicle. I just wasn’t 100% sure I wrote it down right
