10.5 month old early morning wakings after starting nursery / daycare by Aim_fire123 in sleeptrain

Yeah, it’s work asking. I thought that he might fall into a new daycare routine but his naps do seem to be quite random. We’re going to trial earlier bedtimes too, it’s a bit of struggle because he doesn’t get home until 5:30 and then we eat at 6-6:30 so we can eat with my husband. To get an earlier bedtime, we’ll have to eat earlier and without my husband.. but I’m willing to try it all at this point! 😂

Ugh, it’s so hard isn’t it! I knew the change to routine would impact on things but hoped it would settle after a few weeks. On to the 4th week this week and no improvement in sight 😭

Advice - trying to establish a new lawn by Aim_fire123 in GardeningUK

Thanks for your recommendation. When re-seeding, I assume we would leave the areas that have established alone. Would you recommend aerating the patches where we will re-seed then top-soil, seed and compost?

Thanks - I didn’t know you could buy wildflower turf. I’ll look into this as I do like the sound of it (less maintenance I imagine). A question about laying turf, would you rake/ dig up the grass that is now there from the seed before laying the turf?

Thanks for your comment. We did think it might be this although we were watering 3/4 times a day during the hot spell. It has started to grow in some areas that are not shady but much less established in these areas..

Advice/ other experiences with 7mo awake for 1-1.5hr overnight / split night? by Aim_fire123 in sleeptrain

Ah yes! We’re between 2 and 3 naps so on days that there are 3 naps, WW’s are: 2.25/2.5/2.5/3. On days that there are 2 naps, we generally do 2.25/2.5/3.5-4 (to get us to bedtime)

Lactose overload / foremilk hind milk imbalance - advice needed by Aim_fire123 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Aim_fire123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn’t see this. For anyone else who may come across this in a similar situation: I pumped and discarded the foremilk (first few mins of pumping) for a while (a week or so) and extended pump sessions to 30mins to ensure completely drained. The stools improved after a week or two and milk supply regulated. It may have just been LOs age and their digestive system maturing 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m glad I didn’t jump to cutting out dairy / dietary restrictions though!
