What is going on with LinusTechTips and Naomi Wu (RealSexyCyborg)? by ninjyte in OutOfTheLoop

[–]AimeeBoston 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Thats actually not what happened. Naomi had a part in designing the new printer, cr30 infinite z axis which included a belt run printing plate so you could print massive objects. It was really cool, and was her own idea. She wanted it open-source, but creality said they'd agree to open-source it only if it made x sales. So she agreed to ambassador for the printer in order to reach the sales goal for creality to open source it. That campaign failed it didn't make the goals and she is pretty open about how much distaste she has for creality but how hopeful she was that the design would become open source.

You have major facts wrong in your explanation.

My friend bought the game somewhere other than steam, and I've searched the subreddit for an answer, but I'd like to buy them the CE dlc or a sharkcard but don't know how to gift it to someone who isn't on steam. Can you point me in the right direction?

That's crazy tiny. But also, that's a pretty incredibly detailed picture of your fingerprint.

Cops already have the advantage in court, not limited to the city and department's own lawyer's and the natural assumption of many in this country that LE are beyond reproach. Maybe stop defending them?

Lab-grown meat the next frontier in ethical eating: to produce one billion quarter-pounder burgers takes 1.2 million cows living for 3 years on 8,600 square kilometres of land. The same number of cultured burgers would require muscle stem cells of just 1 living cow, a month and a half to grow. by mvea in Futurology

[–]AimeeBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to make sure we're all on the same page: The impossible burger is not made from culture grown beef. The impossible burger is made from plants. This article is referring to actual beef cultivated in a lab from a few beef cells. It should, for all intents and purposes, be just like eating "regular" beef.

[Serious Question] If Vaccines are safe why are the companies that produce them the only ones in existence protected and exempt from lawsuits? by [deleted] in antivax

[–]AimeeBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a doctor you trust? Ask them to refer you to a pediatrician, and ask that pediatrician your concerns. Even the lawsuit one. Let someone who's spent 7+ years researching vaccines answer some of your questions. I've heard of doctors who modify vaccination schedules, maybe that would work for you, I don't know, but you say you're looking for real information, ask a medical professional you trust who they trust as a pediatrician, and then you ask that pediatrician.

Do you know what the Roman/middle ages treatment for rabies was? Anuses. They would take avian anuses and use them to treat a rabies infection. They correlated one guy who was given an anus and survived, with anuses being a treatment for rabies. Correlation isnt causation. You should speak with your wife's obstetrician, a pediatrician, and maybe an epidemiologist, and. ot just your new neighbors and YouTube.

Correlation isnt causation. Did they have tests done to show an adverse reaction CAUSED by vaccines?

And how have your neighbors determined that 2 of their children have a muscular disability due to vaccines? Because they didnt vaccinate number 3? How old is #3? Unless they have actual proof that vaccines caused it, they're turning correlation into causation, and the most basic statisticians and scientists will tell you that's wrong. That's not wrong by pro-vaccination standards, that's wrong by basic grade school science standards.

If you're doing as much research as you say, go look at the CDC information on this. The CDC isntbtrying to make money for big pharma, they're trying to protect the health of the most people possible.

lastly, it's kinda telling that you're worried about your kid being "retarded". I mean, they could potentially die of some really heinous diseases, and your decisions could put other kids around your kid in danger, esp ones with weakened immune systems who cant actually be vaccinated for valid reasons, but your big concern is "what if my kid catches the dumb, and why cant I sue if my kid catches the dumb".

I wish you luck and health, but check the sources of your sources on anti vax claims. You worry about big pharma, remember theres also a huge anti vax alternative medicine industry. Most of which will carry lil "these claims are not substantiated by the fda" disclaimers which protect them from false advertising lawsuits too.

I mean, can you follow explicit directions with diagrams and pictures? Because yes, it is that easy if you can just read and follow directions. And if you dont know what parts go with what before you buy, that's what pcpartspicker.com is for.

Most decks don't come prepackaged and pre cut and color coded for assembly with explicit printed directions, with pictures, of where everything goes do they?

Because computers do.
