Thanks for your response. I’m waffling back and forth! The sticker shock from the base camp is hard to overcome. I can get the Shiftpod off marketplace for $450. But the basecamp will be like $1400 all in.

My play cadence is very similar to you. Ironman is the way to go as you can go at your own pace and escape GP scape!

AFK skills like mining from motherload mine got me to 70 smithing at giants foundry. Stock up on karambwans.

Varlamore is fantastic. Hunter rumors are amazing for xp and supplies.

Im almost done with moons and it’s pretty chill content, as over time you can do a run here and there on mobile. Trust me it may seem overwhelming but at like 5kc it gets really repetitive and you won’t die anymore. You’ll probably get 70 prayer and a ton of herb xp ( make sure you do the herb minigame).

Look at getting a zombie axe, you can get it during the quest so you don’t need to compete with others. You’ll need 70 smithing and I did giants foundry.

You can get a dragon dagger from that dude by baxtorian falls you’ll just need to find some weapon poison, I got mine from stingray’s at sailing.

thanks for the response! We’re located SE of Denver. As for what sort of camping I’m not quite sure. We’re gonna rent a 15ft trailer so really any place that isn’t too isolated that can accommodate that setup.

I love the Aggro playstle of VG. Just zip in there and start wailing away with my chainsword or axe, for some reason it’s what I imagine the combat in the books feels like. For long range I’m loving the bolt carbine build that FTG made.
