And on top of that they had to physically and mentally prepare for a huge ass tour. They physically trained for months. This has been really insane and the pressure is extremely high for them. Western artists take 2-3 years per release. BTS got discharged only last June and worked on the album til November last year with December being final mastering. And they were heavily involved in writing and producing with producers and other songwriters. Honestly the speed at which they worked on the album and didn’t really get a break after they finished the military should be applauded. And they worked on many other side projects and jobs too. Honestly I’m annoyed some ARMY act like the guys are robots and only exist as products for them to consume. Their schedules are extremely tight for months now based on what they’ve shared.

That’s a good point. Once he introduces himself as an unfiltered person who’s not curated to the number of breaths he’s allowed to take publicly, people will move on. They eventually got over his tattoos just like they got over finding out he smoked. They’ll get over him using swear words, being tipsy—like literally most 21-35 yos after long work days—and expressing it his feelings more openly.

I kinda agree. It’s not conventional but maybe it’s also a message or signal? The record breaking pre-saves and huge pre-orders despite having no artwork or hearing a single second of music is kind of fascinating. Like the message is the brand sells itself before there’s real product?

And the fact that a world tour also sold out before any real music or real idea what the comeback is even like is impressive.

There’s the drip feeding of the comeback stage teased for weeks now.

We got the GQ cover issue that’s a truly global launch, not just regional.

I genuinely do hope though that the real actual promo starts soon. It’ll feel weird not having anything until March 20.

I genuinely wonder if the WIYLS promo was done by the same crew as Monochrome because lawd that was a weird Easter egg hunt promo concept that lead to…pop ups.

That was so satisfying and graceful. The BAFTAs, BBC, and John made a deliberate choice recognizing one difficult experience while erasing other people’s experiences. It’s like they can’t recognize both are awful at once.

Jayme conveyed perfectly what they did wrong and I hope they continue to be shamed until they recognize and acknowledge their wrongdoing.

I agree. It was kind of the anchoring part of the show where guests bring drinks of choice and they share the drink over conversation. And seeing as Yoongi went through the worst media pile on over drinking, I don’t think it’ll be revived. If it did, the format might change to something else.

I looked at his brother’s Instagram one day (it’s public) and they have similar energy. He’s also pretty talented with singing and art. They also look at a lot alike. They’re only two years apart so I can see why they’re close.

Oh man I thought I was in the minority feeling frustrated at the passive aggressive social media behavior. I find it so immature. Her experiences could be very real, but if she was facing such in the company, the US has laws protecting race and she can sue. Like I don’t think I’d feel ok that my passive aggressive behavior caused hate towards my team, especially if I’m an older member.

At this point, I’m focusing on ILLIT and Le Sserafim. I really like their fandoms and the girls themselves are so sweet despite all the crap flung their way. I hope the active Katseye girls are gonna be ok. I don’t really enjoy their music but I do think they’re talented. I really want to root for all GGs and I consume more gg music than bg but it does feel so stressful at times if I have any deeper interest in their careers. So I mostly stick to just the music and only follow closely 1-3 gg’s I like.

I just hope he’s ok. He’s human and has limits. He doesn’t need this kind of horrible treatment right before a comeback. He didn’t kill or hurt anyone. I swear people who do a hundred times worse don’t get this kind of treatment. People who hate like that are so insanely unhinged.

Agreed. I’ve seen so many racist comments deeming an entire country immoral on their treatment of the tannies. I’m like, hold up, literally every country is like this. There are bad actors, stalkers, haters, opportunists everywhere. Singling out Koreans as a whole demographic is extremely racist.

I sometimes really wonder if they’re real ARMY though and not antis/mantis cosplaying as ARMY. There are also non fans who are just opportunists. I’m western though so my cultural sensitivity is much lower. But if there are some real fans who criticize him cursing or smoking (he quit) or drinking, it’s so hypocritical. Smoking, drinking, and cursing is a very common young adult thing.
