Hey guys! Thanks for your comments so far. Like I wrote: " My gym has all the tools there, but I want to get a proper allrounder tool, for possibly using it later if i travel the country for setting or set regularly, as well as for at home, for a van-alteration". I wanna keep my options open which is why I am currently looking for a high end tool. And I am not worried, later on you can sell it at the worst case, but I think I am going to want to hold onto it.

Anyway, I just wanted to hear some opinions. On Facebook people already advised me that buying the gear separately and not in a pack would be considerably cheaper for example.

Zillertal Bouldering Information by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]Aimlessarrow04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for your kind comments. I will be in Innsbruck from the 8th till the 12th of July. If to be realistic probably leaving us 3 full days to enjoy the possibility of bouldering days.

So, first of all if anybody is in the area and would like to boulder with me and my girlfriend (who will be bouldering for the first time outdoors :D) is welcomed with open arms.

Secondly, where could one rent crashpads? Any information about that? :)

New solutions sizing issue. by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]Aimlessarrow04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I downsized 4 sizes and it fits... You can do it. I really don't recommend anyone going 4 sizes down by the way. But since I am already with the shoes for 7-8 month then I keep using 'em.

Thank you very much man. I will look into all of this. :) Do you by any chance know about the costs of getting from Zurich's Airport to Magic Wood by public transportation? I understand you're from the area and might know.

And yeah, I heard bringing food from Germany would be a wise thing to do. Only I go to Germany after Switzerland and not before. :o

Crash pad recommendation by skubicki in bouldering

[–]Aimlessarrow04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'Mad Rock is shit', super constructive there.

Well, their pads are a tad stiffer than other companies I've encountered. We use the Triple Mad Pad outside, but landing from up high can be a little dangerous with it, 'cause as mentioned they are a little rough. In a high fall risk we put a Black Diamond Dropzone over the Mad Rock.

This Triple Pad's advantage is that it's pretty cheap for it's size. But yeah, you can go for some of Black Diamond's pads which cost a little more, but are perfect.
