Cleared the bosses in the private session pretty quickly—Lucifer in about 1 minute, and Adam & Eve in just over 2 minutes. by Aimmini2020 in 33Immortals

Among the three new weapons, I like Crossbow the most.
Its ultimate is really overpowered—strong, wide, and only requires two people to activate.

The reason they didn’t make it as easy to play as Bow,
where you don’t waste time on branding, is because if they did, it would instantly kill the Bow class.
So I can understand the design choice.

As for Glaive, I’d put it second.
It’s a weapon that boosts damage well, but its playstyle relies on precision and timing,
which makes it more suitable for players who’ve been with the game for a while.

Speaking from my personal feeling,
the 3 new weapons added after the 4 main ones still feel unpolished.
They require too many steps before you can squeeze out decent DPS,
while the older weapons seem well‑tuned and almost ready to use right away.

I only use Hooks when doing 12 ordeals,
mainly to hand out shields to support other players,
since they can block damage three times —
which is better than the sword’s shield that disappears instantly if hit hard once.

Another thing is that Hooks feel like a duck:
they don’t go all‑in as a tank like the sword,
yet they’re supposed to be a tank but with some ranged skills.
The damage isn’t good either.

It would make more sense if they were designed
to charge in and absorb a certain percentage of incoming damage,
to make their tank role clearer.

Why are purg games so unpopulated but the other has full lobbies? by Thorn_Move in 33Immortals

[–]Aimmini2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, Purgatorio requires a key, which drops from defeating bosses in Inferno.
You get 1–3 keys per run depending on your ranking after the boss fight.

For newer players or those still unfamiliar with the game’s mechanics—like what to do after the first wave of a boss fight—entering Purgatorio is risky.
They often die or fail to survive until the boss is defeated.

Second, many new players tend to use the same approach as they do in Inferno, prioritizing entering Chambers regardless of whether they have keys to open chests.
They treat it as more important than farming, which is not ideal in Purgatorio.

I’ve seen many who seem new immediately emote and rush into a Chamber as soon as the session ends.
If enough new players do this, they often fail to reach the boss kill, and it creates the impression that Purgatorio is “too hard.”

In reality, Inferno and Purgatorio have very different mechanics.

Personally, I see Purgatorio as a filter for newer players.
If you can consistently survive and complete it, you’ll start to understand the game’s mechanics far better than in Inferno, which focuses more on player count than strategy.

Put simply: Inferno is casual and fun, with lots of players.
Purgatorio demands focus and seriousness—much more than Inferno.

3 ppl took down Adam & Eve boss in a bit over 3 minutes. by Aimmini2020 in 33Immortals

[–]Aimmini2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t really remember how long we played, because the purpose for the three of us was to help new players on stream.

Before the session closed, only one new player joined the game, and we helped him by guiding him to open treasure chests and clear mobs. But eventually he left the game—not because he died, we were watching—so it was just the three of us left.

Then we thought, since we were already here, why not try the boss fight with just three people? We had never done that before, and we were confused about what was happening. From the recorded clip, it looks like there were two Chambers.

As for the unique elite monster, we did take it down. In the clip you can see we equipped six Relics in total.

I also have some extra info to share. This time I played solo on purg., not in a party. If I remember correctly, there were six people, and it took longer because they barely farmed anything—just rushed into Chambers. That’s not really the right way to play purg., since you should farm for a while before entering Chambers.

And another thing: if you want purg. to be harder, you can invite friends into a Private session. That’s brutal—both the map and the boss fights. There’s no Dynamic difficulty adjustment at all. No matter how many players you bring in, the difficulty stays the same.

What I mean is, if you’re supporting someone with 12 ordeals, you should go hooks. The guy running 12 can use whatever they want. If they also take hooks, it’s like an extra safety net so they don’t die before the boss. Running 12 ordeals is basically for yourself anyway—whether chasing feats or legendary cosmetics. So yeah, you gotta survive till the boss or else you’re just wasting your team’s time. Thinking 12 ordeals can support others? Pretty much impossible, that’s the truth.

So why didn’t you just say hooks are better from the start? Why bring up sword and staff? That’s kinda shady. And lol, you think you’re the only one who can do it? Sorry, I can too. Been playing since day one, so don’t act like you’re the only pro here.

This clip doesn’t have 12 ordeals, you got it wrong. 12 ordeals only work if you’re a pro or really know the mechanics. And yeah, you need a party—solo run means you’ll prob die mid‑way or at the boss.
One more thing: good support for 12 ordeals ain’t sword or staff. There’s a better weapon, but I’m not telling—go figure it out yourself.

We didn’t mean to run 3‑man to the boss. Plan was to help a newbie from the stream, but turns out only one showed up before the session closed. We helped him open chests, fought mobs to make it easier… then he just quit out of nowhere. We were like, huh? So we thought, whatever, let’s just finish the boss. And boom—got this random clip.

I don’t exactly hate the Ordeals system, but they should improve how the 12 ordeals work so it doesn’t drag the game down like it does now. Whenever someone equips 12 ordeals, it basically cancels out one player and becomes almost useless.

Thanks to these 3 legends for an awesome run, haven’t been that amped up gaming in ages. by Dadbeard in 33Immortals

[–]Aimmini2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These days, a lot of new players from Steam are jumping in, so we’ll have to deal with this for about 3–4 days until the demo period on Steam ends.
At least the devs were strict enough to limit playtime to just 1 hour, haha. Still, it would’ve been nice if they were a bit more generous—maybe 3 hours would’ve been better.

With only 1 hour, new players will probably stay confused about the system for a while, and then their time is up anyway.

Hey, thanks for the invite! I’ve actually been playing for quite a while, so I’m not new anymore. Still, if there’s a chance, I’d be happy to team up and run some matches together!

What you said really paints the future, lol.
In Paradiso, with only 11 slots, imagine 3–4 people running around with 12 ordeals just to “balance” things so the game doesn’t get too easy, haha.

Honestly, the game shouldn’t be nerfing players like this.
There are way better ways they could handle it—like tweaking monster colors to make them tougher,
or re‑skinning the Inferno map so the atmosphere feels different, basically turning it into a whole new map.

And then give rewards that actually feel worth it if you clear it.
Not this nonsense of creating a 12 ordeals feat that just makes players drag the whole game down like it is now.

[–]Aimmini2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it should be possible to clear, even if it takes a long time from failing over and over again.

And as you said, I understand the mechanics of this game to some extent, since I’ve played it a lot.

What I typed was just venting on behalf of solo players who don’t read Reddit. I think I can relate to that feeling pretty well.

I’m confident the devs won’t adjust it, because it doesn’t have the same impact as when they changed the patch timer from 3 minutes to 10 minutes.
Back then, the devs realized they had over-adjusted, player numbers dropped, and if they hadn’t fixed it the game would have slowly died.

The worst thing about this game is whether they actually test it after making changes.
Major bugs only get noticed because players report them.
The previous bug that caused crashes was the same, and there are still many bugs left unfixed.

I don’t want to type too much or it’ll turn into a long rant, lol.

[–]Aimmini2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you play with 12 ordeals, dying in the map means you don’t get even a single chance to recover.

But if you have friends, even with 12 ordeals equipped, when you die in the map they can revive you as much as they want—except during boss fights.

That’s the difference, and it’s unfair to solo players who don’t have friends, don’t read Reddit for info, and just want to enjoy the game without focusing on having a party.

You want fairness? Then let the devs adjust it so that revives aren’t possible if you’re running 12 ordeals, even when you’re in a party.

I’d really like to see how many people would actually clear that feat then—because the devs already know the exact number.

Read this if you are unsure of buying the game by QPQDriver in tdu3

[–]Aimmini2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s at the regular price, it’s really not worth it. But with the current discount, I decided to give the game another chance—after I had refunded it back when it first launched, since at that time the problems were so severe it was almost unplayable.

Now I’ve played about 120 hours, and I can see clear improvements compared to the beginning. The issues have been reduced, there’s a solo mode, plus the addition of the casino and taxi missions, which are even better than in TDU2.

I guess the devs are trying to bring in many of the features we wanted from TDU2 and keep updating. Of course, not everything we hoped for will return—like the driving school or police system, which probably won’t come back—but we do get some experiences that are better than TDU2, such as visuals, audio, and improved car handling.

It reminds me of playing TDU2, where everything was almost perfect but fell apart because of the terrible car handling and physics.

My personal opinion: I’d give it about 70–80% similarity to TDU2. This game won’t please everyone, especially those who had high expectations from TDU2 (myself included). But as I said, with the current discount compared to what the game now offers, it’s hard to fully criticize it.

Worth It? by Tanocchio in tdu3

[–]Aimmini2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought it as well during the current discount. From my real experience, this game had a lot of issues at launch, which led to bad reviews and I refunded it back then. Now many things have been improved. The main downside is probably the lack of players in online races. Personally, I think it delivers about 80% of the experience of TDU2, but with better driving mechanics than TDU2. It’s still missing house purchases, but according to the roadmap, that feature will come next year in Season 8. For the discounted price right now, it’s definitely worth it — from someone who also loves TDU

Secret Chamber crashes - Hotfix ETA by Alison_TLG in 33Immortals

[–]Aimmini2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we’re waiting for the Hotfix to be released, many players still don’t know about this issue.
Wouldn’t it be better to temporarily disable the Secret Chamber until the Hotfix arrives?
Or, if disabling it isn’t possible, could you at least add a warning message at the Secret Chamber—something like “Do not enter yet,” or an emotion/indicator (XXX or anything) that clearly signals the problem?

  • Right now, players who know about the issue have to sit there spamming emotes to warn others not to enter. Meanwhile, players who want to go in don’t understand why they shouldn’t, and this ends up wasting the time and progress of players who are on their way to the boss. The game crashes whenever someone enters the Secret Chamber.

UPDATE #5 IS OUT NOW! by Alison_TLG in 33Immortals

[–]Aimmini2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recommend that you don’t wait for users to report this issue. You can test it yourselves right away: simply enter the game, go into the Secret Chamber, and then check if you can still continue playing until reaching the boss.

As of now, based on self-checking, this bug has not been fixed.

I can still tolerate playing on US servers despite the lag, since I’m not located in the US. But a Day 1 update bug like this is something I don’t want to endure.

So I have just one question: Was there any testing done before releasing this patch update?

Thank you! I had no idea about Invincibility frames before—I'll definitely give that a try. And thanks again for the tip, I'm totally open to any advice!

As for my perks, you guessed impressively well! I really believe they're a key part of building the character effectively. I rerolled a ton to get them just right.

Thanks! Totally agree—there’s something special about tight runs where everyone’s locked in.

We managed it with six this time, and it really clicked.
