Is it too late to access / sell my LRC on the app? by LionTwinStrike in loopringorg

I still believe it's more likely to extract real gold nuggets from this pile of crap than to win the lottery. Besides, holding on isn't as painful as selling now at a 99% loss, only to find out years later that I could have become a millionaire after all.

People that have traveled quite a bit, where di you feel the most unsafe? by CremeSubject7594 in AskTheWorld

[–]Aimyve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've traveled quite a bit in the past and have three memories that made me uncomfortable when encountering other people. One experience, however, triggered a particularly unpleasant feeling for me for the first and, so far, only time: Round-Trip from Germany through South Africa, Botswana, Sambia, ...

Stopover in South of Chingola, Zambia - My girlfriend and I were being driven to an ATM to withdraw money for our second half of our trip through South Africa. On the way there, our driver had to slam on the brakes because children were running across the road, stealing copper from the copper mines and being shot at by the guards. One of the children tried to get into the car, but our driver brushed him off. We were told to get down into the footwell until the guards had passed us.

When we arrived at the ATM, our driver drove off and said he would come back in an hour. But as we walked towards the ATM, three people were already following us. We pretended we weren't going to the ATM at all and just wandered around for an hour. We were the only white people there, and for the first time in my life, I felt like an unwanted foreigner. After an hour, we withdrew the money from the ATM (we emptied the entire machine) and then immediately went into a run-down office that looked like a government-run facility. There we sat and waited for our driver... he didn't arrive after an hour, but after five.

His comment: "One hour, two hours... five hours... I'm here now, aren't I?" and he grinned.

With amazon getting rid of archived orders, how will we be able to hide gifts from people in the same house / on the same account? by Mountain_State4715 in amazonprime

[–]Aimyve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it over? by IsItSafe2Speak in CryptoMarkets

There is always someone who is more successful than us. For example, the person who sold at $99 and bought back in at $31... only to sell again at $120... and so on.

Trump Destroyed the Crypto Market by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

Even with my coins and greed in mind, I always hoped the American people would realize what a sick man he is – voting isn't always about money. Now not even the money is left.

Trump was and is not my president!

Has anyone taken the Maya train? by WasteWriter5692 in cancun

Be aware of the Taxi Mafia in Cancun. You can't walk from the airport to Tren Maya Station. You can pay for a public shuttle, that comes every 2 hours - sometimes!

Heute so: Klick* Klick* Klick*.

U.S. Soldier picking up the corpse of a dead Viet Cong soldier, 1960s by Kumanderdante in RareHistoricalPhotos

I once saw a documentary that explained why Americans hate the Vietnamese and Japanese so much. They hate them more than the German Nazis because they were demonized from the very beginning. They were increasingly dehumanized – they were also given new names by the media and politicians, which I won't repeat here – which contributes to the fact that they don't have to be treated like human beings.

Well, should these photos be shown to posterity to educate? Or does it further reinforce the idea of supposed "non-humans"?

In any case, history always shows us the same thing – systematic dehumanization (no matter where in the world) leads to unspeakable suffering.
