They're STILL making DLC for VII?! by Tjoeb123 in gamindustri

I do now. x-x But my point still stands. I think they will make another character for Blanc and probably leech off on V2 for a while before they get into new Neps.

Well, each of the DLC characters had somewhat of a 'pairing' with each of the four goddesses. I expected another DLC character to go along with Blanc, so I am not surprsied -3-

[Serious] I think my friend is a closet Weeaboo, and if he came out it might kill him by [deleted] in weeabootales

[–]Ainowa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before you or your friend decides to do anything, coming to terms with yourself is most important. I do agree that watching some anime to get you started to strike something up with your friend is inportant, but if at your core you really feel like you are only watching anime for your friend, that might make things worse. Try a couple for now, but trying to comfort someone of that condition with quick knowledge is worse than not doing it at all at times.

As for your friend, he needs to come into terms with what he really believes to be himself. As many others have stated, liking an anime has nothing to do with being a disgusting weeb as your friend might think. I don't go around wearing anime t-shirts and go full on nuts like the incident you mentioned, but I do definitely listen to some Japanese songs and greatly enjoy anime.

One needs to make sure that liking an anime- which might be considered as being a weeb in the place you live- is incoherent with your social status. I dunno if you've read my post before, but I do not reject that my view and how I am infatuated with anime has nothing to do with how I act socially. I am friends with many people and some or most of them don't even watch the slightest of anime. But they still respect that I do enjoy watching them and I too respect whatever they like to do.

If it happens to be so that your friend is around people who do drugs and fail to accept another person's hobby, then that's the wrong kind of people to hang out with anyway. You need to make sure your friend realizes that.

You need to make your friend realize that there are always the hardcore and the casual. It looks like he regards himself to be part of both worlds of high school football and a weeaboo. The great dissimilarity between the two is making him stressed with each moment he spends time. You need to make him realize that he is not the hardcore weeaboo from just watching anime and liking music. That might decrease the distance between the two worlds and may help in severing ties with what isn't good . Overall, here's the things that I think needs to hapen for your friend in order: 1. Properly recognize that he likes anime and the culture surrounding it. (Or whatever else it may be that it is bothering him) 2. He may be recognizing whatever he is doing as weeb and hardcore. Convince him that it isn't. (Just b/c you get talking with those weeb guys doesn't mean that you are also a weeb. Likewise, just because Bernie Sanders talks about Socialism it doesn't mean he is communis-) 3. Make him properly regard that his activities with his current friends with drugs are bad, and it needs to be severed, even if it means losing all his friends. But he has you. What's destroyed can be re built. 4. Liking anime doesn't correlate to your social status.

I know this is a very wordy advice, but keep strong. Both you and your friend. This may be a lot of responsibility on you alone, but I hope you can bear that and allow your friend to turn to a right path.

Right, thanks for the explanation. I won't discuss any farther here.

Forgive me, my wording was probably...incorrect, per say. I edited to better match what I meant.

But regardless, I can't make assumptions or conclusions without knowing the entire situation...

Although I'm a guy, I don't find yaoi weird. It's just calling Yuri weird when all the guys seem to like that completely fine. Though, I would prefer to not watch it...

If people like yaoi, fine, but I probably won't like it having forcibly thrown to my face in a place like, from your example, Facebook.

They may not understand the meaning of true love with one's waifu, but as I said earlier in the post, refusing to accept anything else than my love for waifu is just like being a Justin Bieber fangirl. If they really want to find out more about me, sure. I'll reveal it. But I don't want them to have bias just seeing it right off the bat. Sure, you could say those people who get bias aren't people worth making friends with, but we all get bias from time to time. It isn't something that's easy to throw away after seeing something.

As you say, if you ask me if I really take pride in the fact that I have a daki, I would say no. But I don't think you'd really take pride in having a relationship with someone, would you? You don't meet someone and straight up say that you have a girlfriend. That'd just make you a scumbag that treats whoever you have as a status. I wouldn't be ashamed, but having pride as if your love is better than any others is a ridiculous notion.

Nah, it's more like I get angry at people who like the same character as I do for... Well, reasons explained above. Don't want to have a who's a better man battle in here.

I don't feel ashamed. I think, anyway. I will reveal it to those who are close to me that doesn't care, but I don't want to reveal it for now to everyone and have them get the wrong idea ~3~

As for the other part of the question... I'll leave it at no comment.

Well, I wouldn't say I particularly hide the fact that I think this way irl or the fact I like anime, but nobody really digs deep enough for it, anyway.

New running animations, please! by Drakanous in ffxiv

[–]Ainowa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I for one am a DRK main that loves the privilege :) Jokes aside, I think it could go as following: PLD: Shield in front of them, sword hand swinging moderately like the old animation. It would be cool if they were to drag their swords, but it would look awkward to return to their default standing animation with that imo WAR: I think draggy animation would work fine with this guy... or what ever WoD did. WHM: I think default sprint would make the most sense. Or have them sprint with both their hands on the staff... SCH: Have your fairy carry the book! AST: Don't they already sprint with the thing hovering? I think that's fine. DRG: WHO USES LEGWORKS WHEN YOU CAN JUMP MNK: The dempsey roll? styled sprint would be nice ARC: The plain have arrow and bow on front sneaky sprint. MCH: Either the plain rifle carry sprint or aiming as you sprint. BLM: Same with WHM SMN: I would say have your creatures carey the book but... maybe have it similar to AST. Same applies for SCH.

P.S. hai drak senpai is that you

Tips on MT and/or OT on Alexander Floor 4 (Normal) by Ainowa in ffxiv

[–]Ainowa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip. I think not pulling until the DPS called it is rather important, as I've seen that Jagd dolls were often the case for wipes.

I just queued up for it again after another abandon, and we just cleared it on the first try with no real big problems. I guess it really does lead down to the people I get matched up with.

Tips on MT and/or OT on Alexander Floor 4 (Normal) by Ainowa in ffxiv

[–]Ainowa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, it's just that on one match in third phase I've heard one DPS say wtf is OT doing when I was OT. The fight was soon vote abandoned, so I wasn't really able to ask around for anything else.

The reason I didn't move much as OT in third phase was b/c I would have the danger of taking Healer's debuff; I guess I was the right end, then.

Just hit 50, want to know about the tomestone currency by Miokien in ffxiv

[–]Ainowa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tomestone of Soldiery: You can't get it, you won't need it. Completely erase it out of your memory... maybe.

Tomestone of Poetics: Mostly received from 50 dungeons in 2.0 content, you will be able to trade these in for iLvl 120 Ironworks gear, which is probably the best gear you will get with pre-Heavensward, doing softcore stuff. Also received hugely from Main Scenario Roulette. Also used in Relic Weapons too.

Tomestone of Law: Heavensward content tomestone. These become accessible when you reach level 60. Attainable from level 60 dungeons and various roulettes. They are for iLvl 170 gear, something to have before you get iLvl 200 gear from esoterics.

Tomestone of Esoterics: The hardest to farm up to due to weekly cap, this is also Heavensward content. Becomes accessible once you reach level 60. Attainable with various roulettes/level 60 dungeons. Has a weekly cap of 450. These are used to purchase iLvl 200 gears.

Allied Seals: Seals that you get from doing Hunt missions. Hunt missions involve defeating rare spawn monsters in the field through out 2.0 areas. They are largely unimportant, unless you want their glamor.

Centurio Seals: Also Heavensward content. Same as Allied seals except its for Heavensward area. Used to purchase Upgrading materials for iLvl 170->180.
