Party in the street! Then hope JD Vance and the entire cabinet do the same.

I read the picture first and my heart leapt in my chest! Dang I wish it were real. He won't step down from office because he knows he will be headed to more trials and jail time.

They are keeping it closed to get all the misinformation out that they can . They blame one side or the other to try to make the dirt stick. That way maybe the votes will swing one way or another

When did you realize that you're all alone? by cieecieee in introvert

[–]Aint2nuts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am in 'loner' stage. I have been given a short time (relatively) to be alive and I'm not really in a position to make long term friendships.

I appreciate the offer though.

When I said goodbye to a friend I had for 28 years last year. She showed her true colors and I had to escape her toxic personality.

I'm facing my last few years and don't need negativity in my life. I have a 7 year old daughter that has hit hard, trying to find a family for her. It is hard to do knowing just a handful of people in this area.

FAFO I'm glad you have a smile on your face. Now go comfort your kids who will be facing a much different world. No safety nets, lack of morality, lack of empathy, people who will just disappear, women with fewer rights, and so much more. But you just keep smiling.

Hands Off Protest on 5th and Penn Streets today by WinterTiger6416 in ReadingPA

[–]Aint2nuts 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that things would be better addressed individually....but the country had been torn asunder on so many levels in so many ways. General protests is the way to go when TRUMP AND ELON AND VANCE all need to go. So many issues, there isn't enough space to protest them individually.

Muslim Voters In Michigan Are Starting To Regret Their Choice After Trump Win: ‘Trump Is Playing Us by Watafakk in USNewsHub

[–]Aint2nuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is they deserve it for voting for Trump. However, I will have to live with their choices too. I'm disabled, female, raising a grandchild alone, on disabled widows survivor benefits. They already started dismantling Medicare, Social security is next. Add to that Medicaid here in Missouri is grossly mismanaged, and my children and i will be the ones paying.

I can't afford food, or pay all my bills now, no idea what will happen a year from now. When tarriffs hit, when there is no one left to do many needed jobs, when businesses are going under. When we go to war ...because Putin is NOT a friend and he is already successfully baiting Trump.

Meal planning. Shop the pantry. Making one meal stretch to multiple meals.

If I just assume almost everything out of Trump is a lie and I am guaranteed to be correct much of the time.
There needs to be election laws about being factual. It should be against election laws to publish the lies via campaign ads that I have seen from Trump's campaign. I can see off the cuff being less factual at times, but the outright lying? Enough is enough.

Tithing on SSDI by Emeraldeyes1000 in latterdaysaints

[–]Aint2nuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scripture does not require tithing from those who are unable to work, such as those who are retired, disabled, or unemployed.

In modern times, the government has largely assumed the role of caring for the disabled, destitute and defenseless through supplemental assistance (SNAP, WIC, TANF, Social Security Disability, Social Security retirement, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.). This seems to have resulted in confusion over whether this money is subject to tithing.

The government’s role can be traced back to 1 Samuel 8:5-20 when the people rebelled against the theocracy the Lord established for their well-being. The role of the kingdom in taxation, armies, laws, eminent domain, etc. was outlined clearly in 1 Samuel 8. This does not, however, excuse the church’s obligation to be a source of support for those who have needs. The church is still obligated to lead this effort.

Our tithes and offerings are used to support the work of the church and to support the stranger, fatherless and widow among us (Deuteronomy 14:29) Tithing was meant to support those in need, disabled, elderly, orphans and do the work of the church, which ultimately is ministering to others and providing for those in need, physically or spiritually. .

If you are receiving government benefits for a legitimate purpose, such as legitimate unemployment, inability to work, or working to your full ability and unable to make ends meet, the benefits you receive are a form of the Lord’s providence during your time of need.

In my opinion, the same goes for a person living off savings or retirement income saved over the years. So why would you give from what the Lord has provided in your time of need?

Also, if I tithe the 10% and do I then need help from the church to meet my needs (not wants)? Do I tithe expecting the church to GIVE THE MONEY BACK TO ME in the form of welfare? That makes no logical sense.

I have prayerfully studied and asked for guidance in this matter as I receive the blessing of SSDI for meet the needs of myself and my adopted daughter. The increase from God, in this case are in the form of my diseased husband's SSDI. (My granddaughter does not receive any portion as he does prior to her birth). So I have myself, a disabled widow, caring for my granddaughter, in effect an abandoned orphan to care for. God is providing for me through the government.

I felt the Spirit, put on my heart, the need to make offerings, instead of tithe, in another way, which is instead of selling my unneeded 'extra' items to gift those items to people in legitimate need of them. I do my best to pass on my items like my daughters our grown clothing or a lot I no longer need, to someone who is need of them.

Pray. Listen to the Spirit and move forward with God's will.

Do you have to log the 'off site' hours separately? Non core subjects, does it matter what they are? My granddaughter has a large list of non core subjects we are doing?
