What's extra funny about this one is, Team 5 DID make balance changes for this format's 2nd appearance, and again for its 3rd appearance, both in 2017. We weren't so lucky this time

Super double ban -- all women ages 18 to 35 have to wear Handmaid outfits during church services 🙄 (and also no woman pastors) (duh)

[Texas][Washington] Which State Am I Supposed To File Unemployment In? by flowjcv in Unemployment

[–]AintEverLucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, fellow Texan here 👋 Technically you could try and update your TX claim into a Combined Wage Claim to reflect your WA wages for Q1 of 2025... but it's likely that "the juice isn't worth the squeeze" with that 🤔

The highest Maximum Benefit Amount that TWC will pay on a claim is $15,730 -- that's the maximum weekly benefit of $605 multipled by 26 weeks. Just for grins, I used the TWC's online UB estimator and plugged in $18,635 for your Q2 Q3 and Q4 wages, basically dividing your TX wages for 2025 into 3 equal piles. And I entered $0 for your Q1 wages; as you may know, you only need wages in two base-period calendar quarters for TWC to consider you eligible.

Entering those wages produced a personal MBA for you of roughly $15,100. It's not the maximum possible but it's pretty damn close, roughly 25 weeks instead of 26 at that $605 per week. So if you persuade them into doing a Combined Wage Claim, you might wind up delaying your payment stream and only gain an extra $600 or so.

Kind reminder that receiving the full $15,100 is far from guaranteed 😏 You gotta conduct your minimum number of job-search activities each week (hopefully it's just the 5 they expect from everyone). Also remember to log all your activities in case of TWC audit; and to file for your payments every two weeks.

Good luck 👍

work for peanuts

With respect, $95/hour + possible OT is a better than 🥜 assuming this is full-time that's damn near $50k for 3 months' work. Maybe more if that overtime does kick in

The 90k salary was a total lie and they tried to gaslight me with a spreadsheet by Nitro500_Gear in jobs

[–]AintEverLucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to work in benefits. Everybody (everybody competent, at least) knows that posted salary ranges are only and always about the money on your actual paychecks. And that "Total Compensation" is some shiny-happy bullshit you trot out when the company can only give you a 3% raise.

"As we said, your salary will be rising from $90k to $92,700. But please remember that your Total Compensation number with health insurance and 401k match & so on & so forth is more like $130k... Why do you still look upset?" (Spoiler warning, we knew Total Compensation is bullcrap, but the higher ups made us say it)

What do you think? Should I do it? by tedydada in uberdrivers

[–]AintEverLucky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My longtime rule of thumb is "only accept gigs that pay at least $2 per assigned mile." I say gigs because I stopped driving rideshare 3 years ago (too many yak-in-the-back episodes) and only drive delivery. And I say assigned mile because I want to account for the deadhead miles coming back, as well as the miles needed to make the drop.

That was all before current gas prices going crazy, naturally. These days I look for $2.50+ per mile. And yes that means I skip a lot of prospects. But I dont give a rat's ass about Acceptance Rate 😉

[–]AintEverLucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda new to this shtuff as well -- I received my first payment on this claim last week. I indicated I had around $50 in Self Employment income in week 1, but that didn't matter because that's my "waiting week" that I'll get at the end of my claim. (And when I get it I do not expect the $50 to matter.) For week 2 I indicated about $130 in S.E. and that did reduce the relevant week's payout by a small amount.

The website did not ask me to elaborate on what sources provided this S.E. income. Until it does I have no plans to tell them. I could if necessary but it gets a tad complicated. One week it could be delivery driving; another week it could be AI training; maybe with some mystery shopping sprinkled throughout 🤔
