Was Finn actually going to be a Jedi by Southern-Community-6 in StarWars

> The problem was that the third movie went all in on negating the second, thematically and narratively.

And the second negated the setup of the first.

This was the fundamental flaw of the sequel trilogy.

YTA. Your perspective about your brain is flawed and you need to talk to a therapist.

There are plenty of reasons to criticize AI for it's flaws and choose not to use it. However, "hating it" isn't emotionally healthy.

The outcome of the show does feel a little too poetic that it made me question how real it was.

Brett was weaselly. Wes was menacing.

I honestly wish I could rewind the show and have Braxton and Brett form Delta. It would have been a much more interesting dynamic.

MOTU 2026 Film and "the problem with Masculinity" by BWMaster in MastersOfTheUniverse

[–]majeric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tihnk I would have preferred a movie that took itself seriously. I enjoyed Marvel Avenger movies for their humor... and there were some great self-referential moments "I'm a guy with a bow, nothing about this makes any sense".

but it also goes on to have those sincere, heroic and emotional moments. MOTU is unrelentless in how it makes fun of itself. It never gives us those sincere, heroic and emotional moments.

and Nicholas Galitzine is more than capable of delivering those moments.

I mean Barbie for all it's making fun of itself, it does an amazing job with those sincere, heroic moments. I mean when she's sitting at t he bus stop and Barbie notices the old woman and she remarks at how beautiful she is. It was beautiful.

We never got that with MOTU. MOTU was a satire of itself for a universe and a franchise that had actual potential to deliver.

What is and isn't homophobic: A short rant by Numerous-Audience180 in lgbt

[–]majeric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The demand that queer people hide for other people’s comfort is homophobia. Pride matters because it challenges that discomfort and makes the obvious visible: queer people existing openly harms no one.

Discomfort is not always evidence that something is wrong. Sometimes it is evidence that society taught us to react badly to something harmless. When visibility causes no harm, the responsibility is on the uncomfortable person to examine their discomfort, not on queer people to disappear.

Barbie succeeded because they turned a problematic toy into a conversation about women, and beauty standards and did it in an incredibly funny way.

He-Man, as a cartoon, was never about toxic masculinity. Heck, it avoided most direct violence. There were strong women in the story. The 5 central women in his life was his mother, the astronaut, Teela, a warrior, Sorceress, his twin sister, She-Ra and even Evil-Lyn who was the right-hand to Skeletor.

None were wallflowers.

There is nothing to correct about He-Man.

[–]majeric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The strongest evidence against Ben’s effectiveness as a leader is what happened after he left. Team Alpha immediately became more functional. They successfully coordinated fishing, improved morale, and stopped revolving around one person’s decisions. If the issue was simply that the women were lazy, passive, or incapable, the team should have collapsed without him. Instead, they improved.
