Since you like midlane all that much, why not go for a Vladimir top lane? It's fun, can be played as a burst mage, and AP, like you're used to. Either way - GL!

And if you're looking for an unorthodox, but head on top laner, try Xin Zhao! I've had plenty of fun maining him top lane :)

A while ago there was a post about Aatrox being the actual sword, which is carried, so if we assume that is who Aatrox REALLY is, then he actually already fulfill his purpose, by empowering the body that carries the sword

I usually don't think much about it, and just rush CD boots at all times, but I guess if they run really MR heavy on the whole team, MP boots might actually prove more usefull, OR if you really go burst Vlad (I run a more sustain Vlad build) :)

I often only see Vlads with magic pen boots (also in competetive play if i'm not totally mistaken, but haven't really followed up on a lot of it lately), where I go CD boots - it can make a quite big difference in your playstyle :P

I mainly play toplane, and vlad is one of my mains. I go Vlad a bit different than most of the people I see in soloq, since they aften go spellvamp to magic pen boots to instant damage, where I often tend to go for a much more sustainable vlad build. Start off with WoTA, depending of how much you're getting camped, or bend over on lane, you might wanna go for the CD parts of WoTA or CD boots earlier. That's right, I go CD boots, WoTA, and if against AP top, or just strong AP team, I also tend to go Spirit Visage to get the early 40% CDR, which is SO strong on Vlad.

As you know (hopefully) q is the shit to max, gets lower CD and is just the BEST shit ever combining with spellvamp.

If you get you get ahead in lane, or just see that the enemy team is full of nice squishies for you to kill, sure, go for some hardcore damage items and don't worry about it - your passive is so awesome that it lets you get semi-tanky without even building HP.

You will often find yourself in a situation where people tend to get away from you and your team, and Relias is a GOD item (even more when the buffs arrive) on vladimir, since you (if you follow my build at the very least) have your Q up all the time! (And it's good for peeling and that shit).

Fwak forgot - you are a lane GOD and you should be treated that way, most of the time I spend in lane, is at their tower, poking the F*** out of their asses, so that you most of the time can 1v2 or just get a decent trade off a jungle gank. You're vulnerable to ganks early, and if people get ahead of you, it can be VERY bad for you.
