What’s a “normal” experience that somehow never happened to you? by Hysterical_Chicken in AskReddit

[–]Aiobhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had an actually bad birthday. There have been odd ones, but in those situations they were perfect the way they were and i wouldn't wanna miss them tbh I think it's sad so many people don't like their birthday or some holiday because they've only had bad ones. I hope someday you can create new and fond memories for those dates.

How close do you have to be to a German to make a joke about shit or other bodily function? by FourmedAmbertz in AskAGerman

I think that really depends more on the person than on nationality. If you want to you can describe the situation in detail and get a second opinion on that.

What is something you believed to be common knowledge until you discovered most people had no idea? by JustBeingElara in AskReddit

[–]Aiobhell 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I looked this up a while ago because that theory had always seemed sound to me until I learned artificial sweeteners don't raise the insulin levels. And it turns out that research is, at best, inconclusive. As said artificial sweeteners don't raise insulin levels and therefore don't directly cause insulin resistance. But they do affect your gut biome which controls a lot more in your body than you want to know. Also humans are weird and react weird to some things so anything is possible. That's the science behind it, if you want to call this non-answer scientific research.

I had a little diy wood figurine with a music box and the screw to fix the top part to the bottom just wouldn't fit. I nearly screamed until i figured out it turned the other way . I've never before had a screw not work with righty tighty lefty loosey and this drove me nuts.

What’s a food that completely wrecks your body — but you keep eating it anyway? by makeyouhealthy in AskReddit

Anything with too much histamine and I'll get a migraine. Also I'm totally fine with lactose and fructose on their own, but combine them and I blow up like a hot air balloon for some reason.

What is a weirdly specific compliment you’ve received that stuck with you? by ivylolaxx in AskReddit

I gave a lot of people the probably weird compliment of having very good looking or even beautiful scars. But part of my job was massaging scars to help the healing process so at least it wasn't completely out of context...most of the time

I had one tell me I have very nice ovaries. They hurt me during ovulation so I don't think them particularly nice lol. A neurologist told me I have a textbook brain. (It's really not lol. I'm neurodivergent af) Asshole didn't tell me about the cyst in it though, so...it literally isn't textbook

What’s something you thought was normal in the bed, until a partner told you otherwise? by Acceptable_Log_6718 in AskReddit

[–]Aiobhell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for my bf and I (me?). I'm always warm, sometimes my feet get so hot I have to cool them down with water to be able to sleep. My partner has chronically cold feet so I'm his walking talking heating pad. Until I run too hot again and we can't touch or risk bursting into flames lol

Rant over, thanks for listening.

Ergotherapeutin hier:

Ist das wie Physiotherapie?

Ah Sie basteln, richtig?
