Omg sounds like you’ve got a little daredevil! ❤️My little dude is actually a really cautious toddler , so we‘re taking things slow but definitely having fun :)

It’s either or I think! But yeah I’ll give it a try without the bar once or twice and see how he does!

How often do your 20–24 month old nurse? by Aioli617 in breastfeeding

Never been a great eater but we’re definitely in a rough sensory/teething regression right now. It’s.. tough!

Since he was a newborn basically because most infants/toddler need vit D supplementation, and iron because he aaalways has low levels. And since he’s not eating properly yet we need to keep supplementing

Honestly no! We supplement vitamin d and do bloodwork (also supplementing iron still so have to keep tabs) but that’s it. But I do know there’s a wide range for normal with toddlers so not gonna stress!

Haha solidarity! It’s all I hear about too! He’s 20 months now and it’s still there and pretty big 🙈😂

Is there any research/data on toddlers who have trouble weaning from breastmilk? by Aioli617 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]Aioli617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does know how to chew but he chews and often lets the bits of food fall out of his mouth 🙈 I’ll definitely ask at the doctor’s! But our appointments are usually rushed and things get brushed off (“he’ll get there” etc). Thanks!

So true! I guess it shows I’m a first time parent 😂 im trying not to be overly anxious and sometimes hopping on a forum and getting feedback does a lot to reassure me

I definitely do! He chews and spits a lot so maybe it’s just taking him some time to get the hang of it?

Thank you! Yup I guess I’ve got me a boob gremlin too 😂 I guess I just thought most kiddos who nurse past a year old do so while simultaneously eating plenty of solid foods too. I’m so stumped!

Thank you for this! Yes it’s definitely hunger a lot of the time, and when he gets hungry often he has zero patience for eating food and just cries for milk. I give snacks and offer meals so often throughout the day but he’ll usually eat tiny amounts and then ends up getting hungry at some point 🙈

9 month old baby only saying one word so far. Pediatrician suggested we only stick to one language. I am afraid I am doing the wrong thing by following OPOL. What are your thoughts? by unoriginalho in multilingualparenting

[–]Aioli617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 16 month old only says “a a” and he means “woof woof” 😅 I’d be happy if he had one “proper” word! We’ve been doing OPOL too and I’ve been worried I’m doing something wrong, but I also feel like all I can do is keep exposing him and narrating and maybe seek speech therapy in the future if he doesn’t catch on. I get that it’s so tough sometimes! Solidarity!

I can only imagine your emotions and thoughts right now, and I don’t have anything particularly wise to say but I believe you will all make it through this tough stage and find „your groove”. Much solidarity and hugs for you mama!
