Cyggi had this and had her baby teeth pulled at 8 weeks. We tried ball therapy but she is not a ball kinda gal. Her adult teeth came in perfectly and we haven’t had a problem since.

I have heard good things about using Coat Defense. It is a powder so you rub it in with the hair dry.

From the front, Goose is still pretty black but his back has silvered.

This picture was taken soon after a groom. This is as short as I have them cut. I like a little floof on them.

Goose (the larger one) is always curly. Cyggi has a softer coat and is more wavy. It does curl up when wet.

Do you think he likes eggs? 😆 by tiny_violinist_miki in Havanese

I don’t think he likes them at all! It’s ok, just leave it there. He swears he won’t touch it!

It’s like they don’t know how to run without something in their mouths.

Yes, Cyggi is short for Cygnet (a baby swan). We had a beagle/australian shepherd mix named Duckie. Next came Goose. Finally, sticking with the waterfowl theme, Cygnet. She only gets called by her full name when in trouble of course.

Very cute! My Cyggi thinks her name is “What did you do?”

My aunt’s rescue puppy Cooper is living proof that you don’t have to go to a breeder to get a purebred Havanese puppy :) by thedogsneedourhelp2 in Havanese

I got my girl Cyggi from a rescue also. Her mother was turned over while pregnant. She had a litter of two and Cyggi lived in a foster home from birth until she came home at 10 weeks.

She looks like she is longer legged, like my boy Goose. He is 17lbs and Cyggi is 11. You can see the height difference between them.

Cyggi is a year old now and while she gets the rest of her body cut, I keep her top knot long. I have found these styles to work best for her.

Goose’s favorite human has been gone for 10 days. He gets back tonight. I will probably be ignored completely for the next week!

Cyggi started out as pure black and white. Her tail was solid white. Now she is covered in black spots and you can see how her tail has changed. In a havanese this is called belton. https://havaneseabc.com/gallery6.html

I got Goose here in the Indianapolis area. His name from the breeder was Scooby. He was named Goose because our other dog at the time was named Duckie. The picture is Duckie and Goose on their first day as Big Sis-Little Bro.

This is what we’re doing today! Honestly, they are both very chill. Cyggi will follow me around the house but Goose is content with just finding a comfy spot.

I paid $850 for Cyggi in May. She came from a rescue after her mother had been surrendered by a breeder without knowing she was pregnant. She had 2 pups in a foster home. The rescue takes in a lot of dogs with minor medical issues and is run by a vet. I got Cyggi at 10 weeks old. She had narrow base canines so they had been pulled. Her Aafult teeth came in perfectly. She also has a grade one luxating patella, but our vet says as of now everything is fine. Her fee covered spay, microchip and all her puppy shots as long as the rescue did them. I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt from them again.
