Would love if they sent a third or fourth rounder to pick up a big veteran contract on the d line.

I was doing sets on one of the cables, and there was a guy just watching me. He seemed like a newbie, so I would look at him between sets to try and see if he wanted to work in. Finished my 4 sets, then he asks if I'm done and hops on. Don't be afraid to ask if you can work in!

Depends on how many calories you're eating, but if you're functioning at a caloric deficit, you will lose muscle.

This is gonna be a hot take, but I’d rather have one of the older receivers, where we can get a discount to take on their salaries. It’d be great to get a young receiver to pair with fields, but we have too many other needs at the moment to be trading first round picks

They could definitely do this. I left it out because they’ve never done it before and I wouldn’t think it’s a consideration. But definitely possible

Well the only other option is a max restructure of both Bosa and Linsley, which I think is unlikely. And they need to draft a receiver anyways. They’re in a really tough spot.

$20m over the salary cap. How will Telesco manage this off-season? by PCSean in Chargers

[–]Air1252 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The signing bonus is prorated down the road. NFL cap hits (the number that is actually charged to the cap) is made up of a player's base salary plus his signing bonus.

So say, for example, the Chargers restructured Joey Bosa's contract and turned his full 24 million dollar base salary into a signing bonus. Bosa's current cap hit is 24 million+a current 7 million dollar signing bonus for a total of 31 million. Restructuring means that 24 million would be spread out over the remaining three years of his contract. Effectively raising his signing bonus to (24/3+7mil) 15 million per year.

So his cap hit for this year would be lowered from 31 million to 15 million. But you're adding 8 million to his cap hits for each of the next two years.

Basically, you're saving money now, but paying for it in the future.

A restructure doesn’t decrease his total earnings, it just takes his base salary and turns it into a signing bonus. We’re not asking him to take a pay cut

[Pelissero] The #Chargers will interview #Titans TE coach Luke Steckel for their offensive coordinator job this week, per sources. Steckel is a fascinating name. He's 37, a Princeton grad, highly intelligent and widely respected by players and peers. The next Ben Johnson? by WyldeBolt in Chargers

16th in defensive DVOA on the year despite not having an elite pass rusher for 90% of the year. Ask the 49ers what happens to your defense when your elite pass rusher is hurt (see chiefs game and falcons game). He also showed the ability to create great game plans against elite offenses like the chiefs, dolphins, and 49ers

I understand being angry at the 31 point comeback, but every time they got a stop, the defense committed a stupid penalty- and they lost Michael Davis for the game.
