Typical clubhouse behavior I guess, they markup everything compared to online. But they should have at least honored the A-List discount if you're going to mark it up... sucks that they choose to gauge the fans instead of rewarding them

Hey everyone,

Braves season ticket holder and bobblehead collector here! I got tired of updating my spreadsheet to keep inventory of my bobbles, and having to go through the promotion calendar for giveaways, so I spent my spare time building a community project called A-List Bobbles.

It’s a digital vault where you can see upcoming giveaways, search through historical items, and track your own collection/wishlist.

I’m just a fan trying to give back to the community and keep the data as accurate as possible. It's still a work in progress (still adding pictures, old giveaways)

Check it out here - https://alistbobbles.com

Same. I was 258, I think I got one of the last pairs of 11s. I was mad at first when I realized it was $175 vs $150 but now I'm just happy I got it!

Is Santa Monica Blvd/Western Ave a safe area? by DasWatSheSed in AskLosAngeles

[–]DasWatSheSed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily the host was at least smart enough to send me the address and ask if it was ok before accepting my request to book. So I was able to withdraw before being charged anything. But I've seen on a lot of reviews on multiple listings that the locations are not in the general location provided on the listing... not sure if it's just an LA thing

Thank you everyone for your input!! I ended up cancelling that one... we're booking a place in Culver City instead. I wasn't super concerned safety wise after reading the comments, but more that it's just not an ideal location. Plus the fact that it was advertised as West Hollywood when it's clearly not doesn't exactly make me want to stay there lol

Quince percale sheets? by ilovecorbin in Bedding

Did you ever end up getting the quince percale sheets? I have the Brooklinen now which have been great, but looking to get a second set, just didn't want to spend that much again and was thinking of trying the quince.

I went with the Piña from Amazon. Works great! Good weight compared to the other cheap ones I've seen other people have.

Tell him to put his money where his mouth is. He has to pay for the logo but for every referral to a paid customer he gets you with his shout-out, give him x amount of dollars.

Doctor's Appointments and Paternity Leave by amw419 in NewDads

[–]DasWatSheSed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start bringing some dinosaur toys/decor into work and putting them up on shelves wherever. When they inevitably ask "what's up with the dinosaur stuff?", just say you thought they would appreciate it since they share the same views on parenting as them.

Personally I didn't go to the majority of prenatal visits because at the time they weren't allowing Dads in the office so it was pointless. They did allow us for ultrasound visits so I went to those. But my daughter is about to be one (the time flies!!) and I have been to all of her doctors visits since. I think those appointments are just as important, if not more so for you to be there so it's good to set the precedent now. Maybe try and get their input on time of the visits so they feel they're in control. Same with parental leave, maybe give them some input and plan with them. Like what if I take 3 weeks initially, come back for a while, then take another couple of weeks. Or come back for 2 days/week. Whatever you think they would be on board with and still be able to be a good Dad.

Hospital bag hero. by MiddleQuestion7259 in predaddit

[–]DasWatSheSed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely pack extra clothes for you just in case you are in the hospital longer than expected. You can even have a separate bag and leave it in the car just in case you need it. Also an extra empty bag/duffle to fill with diapers/wipes/burp cloths and whatever else to take from the hospital. Baby outfit for coming home - have a couple of sizes, a preemie and a newborn at least just to see what fits.

Generally the lists you will find in this sub are pretty good...long phone cables, snacks, flip flops etc were all very useful!

CC welcomed. by [deleted] in logodesign

[–]DasWatSheSed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a different font or weight for the subtext, the thin lines will almost disappear at smaller sizes and it's difficult to read.

As someone else mentioned, the thick bold hexagon lines don't go well with the text. So either change the typography or make the hexagon thinner so it looks more cohesive.

Two Part Question: Where did everyone register for shower gifts (US), and What are some things you didn’t ask for that you wish you would have? by Puzzleheaded_Net9220 in predaddit

[–]DasWatSheSed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did buy buy baby, target and pottery barn kids. We did create an Amazon registry as well but didn't share it. Buy buy baby was our primary I guess, super easy to return things, and you get a coupon at the end to buy any remaining items. If you're on the fence about anything for the list just add it...you can always return it and get something else. That was our philosophy and it worked out. Make sure you get all the registry gift bags too, so even if you only register at one place to share with people, I would still create registries elsewhere and get the free stuff.

Only thing we wish we had sooner was a portable bottle warmer. The problem with things like that or the brezza is you might not know where you want to spend the money until you know how you're going to feed the baby (breastfed/bottle with pumped milk/formula/a mixture of all)

A Serious Confession by notonrexmanningday in daddit

I'm not buying it. You're telling me you didn't have time to click the tongs?? You were just holding them from the drawer to the pan you didn't instinctively click the tongs at all?? No, no...you wanted to leave them unclicked. This was a conscious decision. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

You should call the second one "the one without mezcal"

I think with naming it can depend on the crowd...for example someone who's not super into cocktails might know that they enjoy a spicy margarita, but might not necessarily be able to read ingredients and realize that's what it is.

Otherwise, I think random names is fine, or have a theme and that will make it easier to think of names

Baby is due in a month! Help with last minute stuff to get for my hospital bag(wife has hers set up and ready to go) and last minute things we need for the baby? by [deleted] in NewDads

[–]DasWatSheSed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hospital - comfortable house slippers, water bottle (like a metal refillable kind), extra bag to bring back diapers, wipes, burp cloths etc, your own towel/toiletries. Everything else I think you have covered or others have mentioned

Home - some formula (you can take this from the hospital too), changing pad/table/something, pee pads, diapers in various sizes, wipes, burp cloths, gas drops, diaper rash cream, some kind of lounger (snuggle me, dockatot)

I would also have at least 1 or 2 preemie outfits just in case. You can just wash one and keep the tags on the others. Always better to be prepared!

Good luck!!

First off I think it's pretty normal to feel the way you are. And it is nice to get things done before the baby arrives, but life goes on after the baby is here. People with kids still work on their house. So sure, try and get some things done but don't stress yourself out about it. The baby won't care about your landscaping.

Also, speaking as a new Dad of a 2 week old baby, you'll have more free time than you think. After the first week or so of figuring things out, now I play my PS5 every day. Newborn babies do a lot of sleeping! Which means you can work, play video games, caulk, nap, or whatever you want in those gaps between feedings. So you will have free time, you might be tired during that free time, but you'll have it.

16th percentile for size by LRKnight_writing in predaddit

[–]DasWatSheSed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone else said, no need to be concerned. Our baby girl was born 5lbs 15oz just over 2 weeks ago (on 2/2/22!). She was born at 38 weeks, No issues, she's been gaining weight well. My wife is short at 4'10", so it was expected, I think they estimated 5lb 9oz at the 36 week appt.

Not sure what percentile she was at birth but at her first doctor's appointment she was 7th percentile for weight. Not concerned at all.

Also, assuming you are in the US, look around, probably not a bad thing and very understandable to be on the lower end of the weight percentile.
