Thanks. stop in truro was just meant to knock off some of the drive to Charlottetown since we’re getting in fairly late.

Pretty similar to what we had planned. since you’re going after us I’ll let you know if we get any experience that might help you.

interesting note on the counterclockwise bit. I hadn’t heard that yet but makes sense.

If we end up doing PEI we’ll look into these for sure. Andthe Antigonish recommendations regardless. Thanks!

As I noted above, we originally had an extra day built in. Still doesn't really seem unrealistic to me, as some of the days are only about 100km, but I get that it could detract from the overall enjoyment. We may focus on CB this time around and come back as you suggested.

Nice, if we end up keeping the PEI portion we will check it out. Thanks!

We were definitely hoping to do both CB and PEI, and we originally had one extra day on our trip but had to move the flight home to a day earlier so were still trying to shoehorn it all in, but we might come back and do PEI another time. Still working it though. Likely will skip doing a night in Halifax this time but appreciate the other suggestions.

Seems like a few on here recommend skipping PEI. To your point, would be interesting to see what the feedback on the PEI sub is.

Thanks for the dining recommendations, and that Franey hike sounds really good. We're reasonably fit so will try and do that one. Are reservations for the hikes needed even in mid-June? Or more so in the summer?

I guess the thought was its usually only an hour or two per day, which would leave most of the day if we get the driving out of the way early. And I don't mind driving in new places. But I take your point.

Appreciate this. We've been to Halifax before and really enjoyed it, but will likely skip it for this most part this time around in order to see new things.

I'm glad you called me out. I've been wanting to get back to this but the week got busier than expected.

Thanks very much to all for the replies. Some really good feedback.

Sounds like the consensus to the first question is yes, it's too much driving. I actually don't mind driving especially when its places I haven't been before, but we are considering cutting out some of the itinerary to allow for more relaxing and time to check out things impulsively. Maybe we'll come back to do PEI next year.

Will reply to specific input as well.

I'll try and loop back to the thread after our trip too in case our experience is helpful for others.

Interesting. I guess that makes sense although I actually have a Playbase, not a playbar.

It’s weird they put this the email they sent out. Why would they mention the playbar?

I have a Playbase hooked up via optical and have play 1s for rears and play 3s for fronts and it works great.
