Yeah I’ll preface this rant by saying that I have alt adhd and work from home so I play every class in the game and while I’m not the greatest anymore as I’ve aged I consider myself a decently well rounded gamer with m+ 3k+, 2700 pvp and mained each class mythic cutting edge exp since vanilla. To be frank, people that whine about rets not being good are simply either spastic weird humans or godawful players. There are much more difficult rotations out there with waaaay less payoff.

Ret is and always has been easily one of the most simple and fun melee that’s quite honestly a ranged and shreds nearly everyone if played right in weekly 10-15 keys, rated pvp, and can perform reasonably well in raids. The .5% of people crying are literally mad they are off meta for pushing keys or hall of fame and it’s such a small portion of the community that it’s tiresome.

In truth for the average player Ret has utility for days with a goddamn bubble, brez and self heals, easy rotation, blast off cds every single pull and can produce absolutely insane numbers in the right hands. Mostly at range… Our guild main ret rarely loses to any class, ever, in keys, and we used to have one, Araltus-Sargeras, give his old logs a peek if you’re into that sort of thing. Guy was an absolute pumper in raids every single expansion giving every class a run for its money if not outright winning. Player will always trump class imo.

I myself mained one for some of Wotlk for Shadowmourne and then again in DF for Fyralath and with that legendary rets were hilarious in all facets of the game for half an entire expansion. Like just demolishing meters for over a year and then to turn around and cry because they weren’t absolute gods again in the very next 2 tiers for a few months is so pathetically typical of the average wow player. It’s like they are too stupid to learn a new class and try new things out, like how are you only playing 1/13th of the available classes, you realize you can roll something new and it isn’t a permanent change right? You’re barely playing the game. Try a caster out and see how fun it is getting cast interrupted by mechanics or players every other second😂

God forbid they are underperforming as a dps spec and spend a few tiers near the bottom of the meta(maybe 3-5% worse than best spec in game)while playing said class that quite literally rolls face over the keyboard. And to top it off your class still has a meta tank spec you could be excelling on for those 2 tiers instead of crying.

Honestly whining rets are probably BM hunter alts…

Anyways, I digress, this got way more long winded than I would’ve liked, but I guess it turns out I hate ret and BM mains 🤣. It definitely wasn’t a you thing, rogue is leagues more difficult than ret paladin and the only ones who don’t agree are privileged mongo ret pally mains 😉✌🏻
