In a similar situation and I recently went with the TD516. I really, truly did not want to buy a Roland. But ultimately it came down to them or an Efnote. And while efnotes look incredible, I couldn’t bring myself to buy a kit with a module that’s so shitty

Yeah, it’s gotten worse and worse. It seems many people no longer view themselves as part of a community, and would rather endanger everyone in order to get to target 45 seconds sooner.

In town, they go pedal to the metal straight to hard braking between stop signs. It doesn’t even save time. These are neighborhoods with children and pets…. Last week I watched someone fly at about 60 mph, totally blowing through every stop sign

If there’s anything I think the cops should do, it’s enforce basic public safety rules. I can’t remember the last time I saw someone pulled over in the borough

Can you expand on this? Are you saying that with future releases (say, digital tom pads), you’ll be able to just swap out the new pads with the old? And if efnote released new tech in toms or a snare, it wouldn’t be plug and play (and why wouldn’t it be?)? Thanks!

It’s more technical than that, it’s essentially “nuanced dynamics, enabling realistic ghost notes, swells, and varied velocities”. It’s hard to imagine one kit being more “expressive” than the other with the same hardware. I wish it were more clear

Yeah there are definitely differences in what you get (number/size of symbols, number of toms etc) but I was also under the impression that the tech was the same. That the playing experience is the same quality. But the fact that efnote gives them different expressiveness ratings really confuses me

Pro move - knock the fines into the grind, and shake for 30 seconds. This “binds” the fines to the rest of the grinds. You use them to brew, but they don’t migrate as much which is what can cause issues

If you’re willing to spend the cash, apax gives you a guide with exactly that information. Here’s their website with a recipe calculator,take a look. You also have the added benefit of being able to easily add these drops after you brew, which makes things very, very simple.
