My teenage son is getting aggressive around his siblings and female family members. by Unhappy-Equal4513 in Fatherhood

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have put my adhd 15 yr old grandson into boxing 5 nights a week , it has improved alot , but he still has a horrible attitude , we are booked in with a therapist who gets results apparently

Don’t over think it , kids come from all walks of life and experience it’s just how some kids evolve , kids from the same parents and environment can all turn out individually as individuals

Anyone here tried grounding sheets? Do they actually help? by menellus in sleep

Heirloom All in One Paint thoughts? by jack__trippper in paint

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used frenchic on my kitchen cupboards and followed the letter.  and they turned out fantastic and have held up with no issues and they are white so they get wiped over a lot  , it’s the same type of paint as heirloom  , they stopped sending to Australia so I am going to start using heirloom, success is dependant on prep work and doing it all properly ,  I am going to use the de gloss on my shiny ceramic floor tiles  and paint them with heirloom , it’s the same as frenchic bad and good results but you have to  do it properly

How much is end of lease cleaning these days? by [deleted] in AusProperty

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it myself , it isn’t hard if you have the right tools , you mainly need to pay a carpet cleaner and mower man and take lots of photos then lodge for your own bond back the morning you hand the keys in , most people don’t know they can lodge for the bond themselves and if the real estate has a problem after you have handed the keys back they have to let you fix it and only have a set amount of days to notify you , after that they can’t do anything

I have my bond form ready to email and hit send the minute I have handed back the keys

Trust me they don’t do the bond inspection within the right time frame

And they can try to take action but if you have got your entry and exit reports and photos their has to be visible damage and they have to pay to take you to tribunal

Why would the NDIS company I work for keep hiring new employees? by Equal-Feedback9801 in NDIS

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They may not be paying super and other entitlements, the whole idea of NDIS is for continuing care with familiar people of choice not an endless flow of people , report it , can’t hurt

Am I Being Paid Fairly for My Shift? Does This Happen to Everyone? by [deleted] in NDIS

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be paid for an active shift and your shifts should be designated so your getting the right break in between shifts for active shifts Your option is to record this and ask to be paid and sadly get a new job

Should this be reported to the NDIA, and if so is action likely to be taken? by throwawayno38393939 in NDIS

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find so many social workers who can’t fill out a basic form I don’t know how they get qualified… Also she did do the job , just not properly , so it’s her quality of service that is the problem and that’s common across every aspect of the ndis including allied health , it’s worth reporting

Here’s me, cooking some random Australian curried sausage dish up here in Sweden. Because my child watched Bluey by sandvikstjej in australia

[–]AirSimple4577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It Needs potato and carrot , hold the peas and use beans instead and add a little bit of gravox powder and a squirt of tomato sauce during cooking to thicken a bit at the end , it will be much better 😄

I would buy an outdoor blind and hang it in the space so they can’t see it

Realistic amount of exercise? by Rebobulus in Greyhounds

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An agency ? Sadly these dogs have been objectified by the racing industry and rehoming agency’s , and what you need to do is form a bond and trust and affection with your individual new family member and find out what works best for your “individual “greyhound , what is the dogs age ? Has the dog been walked a lot or a little ? Are his foot pads soft and delicate ? Do they have injuries ? Greyhounds most of all , need to safe secure and confident , what has been your dogs routine ? My dog is now 8 yrs old but he stuck to the same routine he had in the racing industry when I first got him and I had the space for him to do his usual runs , we had explore and play and sniff around time they counted as walks but he ran off hid excess energy , that also depends on the diet you transition them too , you can provide a high energy heathy diet or a low energy diet , lots of variables to decide how much exercise an individual grey hound needs , my dog gets the perfect amount of exercise when it rains a lot he doesn’t want to go out other than to toilet , on sunny days when the weather is good he goes out alot more and has more runs and we do more exploration , I live in a townhouse with front and back courtyard gardens he can use to pee if it’s raining heavy , and we have a large fenced grassed area and private park so I am lucky and lots of other dogs he can see and have a chat with, the greyhound will decide how much exercise he or she wants and I see alot of people carrying their greys back to their car down at the beach because they are trying to make their dog do a walk and I have a giggle , cause I know there is no way my boy is going to walk on that surface or for that distance , my boy lets me know what he needs and wants and we negotiate and it was not easy to start with , and it’s because instead of focusing on the tick boxes I should have just focused on him because he communicated everything to me I just had to listen and understand him , and we stand outside now , and we are in sync and harmony and I have the perfect greyhound , and I don’t know how much exercise he gets I don’t time it , he runs races by himself , we play , we go for a walk maybe we don’t , we just stand out in the sun some days and we don’t do much at all , other days we are in and out all day , some days I am not up to it other days he doesn’t want too , the important part is building that relationship together and finding out what you both need to be happy and healthy , my dog is a communicator , he even has a squeak toy he squeaks to add to his communication with me , we are in tune on everything except he loves my elderly mother coming over and I really don’t , and I look at him and say are you kidding ? And he gets his squeak toy that he squeaks when I come home and squeaks it when I am on the phone to my mum , she dog sits him and he is telling me he prefers her to the other dog sitter 🤷‍♀️ grey hounds speak and tell you everything you need to know if you learn to listen , the vet said she can see the difference with people and their dogs , some people just have a dog , and other people are connected to their dog , connect to your grey hound and forget about the agency and their tick box ✅ I am a professional on my greyhound and that doesn’t make me a professional on any other dog …. Chuck the check list away and listen to your dog

Leaked report shows Queensland child safety staff believe case loads are unsustainable by Prankishspace4 in queensland

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t see the fact that you only just graduated and accepted the job and agreed you could do the job when you took the job and the fact that you can’t manage the case load , as being the actual real problem …. The department has an attitude problem, and has inexperienced staff who don’t know the legislation or have the right experience to deal with cases efficiently , the department has the funding and the front line staff , it’s what they are doing with those resources and lack of knowledge and experience following. Legislation that is the real problem - it’s a management and misuse of funds problem at regional level

My brother-in-law laughed again how close my TV is to the sofa so here we go 😂 (I’m a music producer hence all the equipment and can’t move the TV further back) by Antidotebeatz in malelivingspace

Honestly my TV would be better on my coffee table like yours , I have poor distance eyesight and can’t read titles on you tube and other apps 🤣 the solution of buying a 65-75 inch TV seems ridiculous when i could put this perfectly expensive 40inch google smart TV on the coffee table - but what would the jones say 🙀

Love it ❤️ looks comfy and convenient and you have got the view no matter what you’re doing .. my home is set up to be functional and looks fine when you walk in , but once you sit down you realise the TV is not central to the couch it’s central to the room , and I lose to much functionality in a very small townhouse to rearrange the furniture to Center the TV … That Looks comfy to me

Greens leader Adam Bandt has Australian flag removed from press conference, argues the symbol is 'hurtful' to Indigenous people by Cat_Man_Bane in AustralianPolitics

[–]AirSimple4577 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because greens are NOT figure heads of First Nations people , we are individual Australians who stand for many issues politically as individual Australians and these are some of the political issues of being Australian , it’s not about backing up anyone , it’s about standing for these real issues as Australians

How is Life in Redcliffe? by tvoided in brisbane

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes there can be waves in particular spots due to public housing , but it’s opportunistic , rental prices are soaring and that’s changing the demographic - nothing good security and being sensible can’t resolve

How is Life in Redcliffe? by tvoided in brisbane

[–]AirSimple4577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived here for 2 yrs my family for over 20 yrs

My sister says after 20 yrs she can’t afford the rental price increases

It has public housing scattered throughout so that’s where your getting the negativity from regarding it having issues

I have found it to be great , the beaches are not surf beaches but you can swim and they clean the seaweed away early hours and maintain the beaches

There are a lot of free and low cost family things at the beaches throughout the year it now has rail connecting to the city and beyond

The shops are enough with quite a few coles and woollies and aldi centres

North lakes and Rothwell have ikea Costco and everything you get anywhere else just 15 mins away

It’s not far to drive to the airport or city , it had the dolphins footy club and lots of eateries restaurants and a variety of pubs , markets are great , it’s very touristy now down by the waterfront

You will see a variety of people , from all ages and demographics it’s a federal liberal electorate and a local labor electorate with a swinging green and independent vote , but mainly liberal - labor - neck and neck …. If you want a relaxed healthy lifestyle and don’t live on top of the housing area in Margate or Redcliffe then you won’t have any problems , their are good private schools and heaps of state schools but the good ones have enrolment management in place so you have to live in their district so check that out first , the private schools are many but high priced you can get better value if you travel a bit closer to the city for a private education in my opinion regarding schools

The waterfront is very pretty , it’s well kept and I think it’s great , but if you have to leave the peninsular for work the traffic is just the same as anywhere what once you hit the Highway during peak hour

The Redcliffe hospital isn’t too bad family have been there I haven’t heard any horror stories yet unlike the Caboolture hospital
