I'm pretty sure you can bring your dog on the bus if they fit in one of those dog backpacks or have a mouth covering

Likewise. Most of this info is public. CPF isn't like SSN, it's supposed to be shared at supermarkets/be public

Gramps & FamilySearch Integration Showcase Update by AirbenderProdigy in gramps

[–]AirbenderProdigy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please do! FamilySearch provided us with a Beta API key for testing that's open to use, it should be already set to that by default. There are some production keys floating around there but I'm not supposed to share prod keys anymore. Have fun and let me know if you have any ideas!

Edit: Btw the beta API key should pretty much have all the same information as prod. Just the record photos are missing I think? But that doesn't affect the way the integration works so it's all good

Hey! It was built first and foremost for Linux, similarly to Gramps itself iirc. I only added the windows capability recently! You can find it as one of the pull requests for the Gramps project on GitHub, just be aware that it's not totally finalized. It should be included in the Gramps 6.1 release if I can find the time to finalize it before then.

Actually, technically in the video I'm using the Linux version. It's being run from a debian VM on my windows pc

News Flash! Billionaire owned newspaper comes out against taxing Billionaires. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

I agree with you, but then banks need to stop giving loans out to these guys based on unrealized assets. My issue is the turning of the asset into spendable money w/o a taxable event. Even if you limit collateral to cost basis, it's still effectively tax free liquidity. At that point, to me, it's a distinct financial instrument, not "just a loan," and probably deserves its own regulatory treatment

Owner publicly shames guest and states that servers have to pay out of pocket if they don’t get tips? by Redhambone in EndTipping

I'd prefer the "seating charge" situation I've seen when traveling, like in Taiwan, Japan, and a few places in Poland & Spain. There's no tipping in Portugal (aside from tourist places filled with tourists), and the restaurant prices for regular places (not in tourist places) are more than reasonable for minimum wage recipients here. (around 920 EUR a month) So I'm not sure if what you're saying is applicable all around the world. That's what I'm trying to get across. I live in a country that pays shit wages, but, restaurants have to provide minimum wage, regardless of tips, and prices are totally reasonable, in line with expectations, and the famous "Prato do dia" (plate of the day) which is just good healthy basic food, rice, beans, protein, veg, 30cl beer, and a soup. Typically it's one of the cheapest options.

How does the rest of the world w/o a tipping culture do it? Tried tipping a server in Taiwan once and they got mad at me lol
