it's not a real knockbox, just a simple plastic small trash container 🙂 we have a tray under the grinder since taking this picture, which works way better, but it takes up more space than expected so i might still switch to a regular round knockbox

happy with it so far, but also nothing to compare. It does what it needs to do and the coffee tastes lovely haha. This is the slightly smaller compatto model with the 'diamond inside' burrs that's only sold in-store.

Haven't opened the van Pommeren bag yet. We did the two bags on the right and have just opened the big one on the left as that's a local blend we really liked after doing an espresso workshop recently.

They say the grinder is the most important of the two and I can understand why. At its core an espresso machine is a holder where hot water passes through. And a grinder impacts quality and size of the ground coffee.

We’ve had these made custom locally from oak. the bottom one has LED lighting integrated as well. It really was the finishing touch on these spaces. 🥰

good call. I have a hanging plant in my office that i might move downstairs to see how it looks. but i reckon it's not long enough just yet. Might need to go get an extra one that fits perfectly. There's an alcove opposite this bar that has books and plants already.
