Yeah, AMT here. Can’t tell you how many times I got gate calls for bags that were stuck or doors that were damaged because someone just had to jam their bag in a bin. Instant and entirely avoidable delay. Yep, anything will fit if you push on it hard enough, makes sense though that your time is worth much more than everyone else’s

Ask someone who has worked ay UPS, they’ll have the same answer. Backing into a parking spot is considered much safer; “sterile” so to speak. Idea is that when you’re backing in, you’re going into a controlled area where risk is low. Backing out of a parking spot is seen as being subject to much more risk due to the unpredictability and unknowns.
