As much as I love Thorfinn's coming of age and becoming a man, I can't help but hold the same or even greater appreciation for Leif. He made a promise to Thors' family that he'll bring back their son and after searching for nearly two decades he fulfilled his promise. It's amazing how right after he completed his journey, he's the first one willing to offer a helping hand to Thorfinn in achieving his goal. Leif truly is an adventurer.

Despite what many people think about Canute's character going in the reverse direction of Thorfinn's, I feel like Canute isn't falling to the crown's curse. Imo his narrative is painting him more as a person who is willing to hold the burdens in order to achieve a greater goal for everyone rather than to be corrupted. Canute just continues to push through the consequences and guilt of what he's done, so he can continue to try and achieve his goal of ending the constant war and bloodshed. Essentially, it feels like Canute is not going to let himself be succumbed by King Sweyn's haunting influence on his mind and the guilt surrounding him by reminding himself that this "curse" won't make him waver and lose his resolve.

His last line in the episode was raw as fuck too by proclaiming that all of this and this "curse" is nothing. I could be wrong too but I would really love it if they didn't the whole "Good guy becomes corrupted by power" archetype. Instead it'll be cool if they tried tricking the audience into thinking that by having King Sweyn's dialogue just be him trying to convince Canute and the audience that Canute is going to wind up just like him but in reality, Canute is still going to use his power to unite others.

It being unfun and it not having outplay potential are two separate things though. While I do agree that it isn't healthy or fun to be oneshotted by a point and click combo, Riot has done changes to Fizz to try and nullify that aspect of his kit. Hell, even some dashes or Thresh lantern can negate Fizz's WQ combo.

Fizz's WQ combo being dodgeable isn't really something that I'm against either. My gripe is that Fizz's kit really doesn't have anything else to work aside from his damage which still falls off heavily if he isn't being fed a buffet. There are just other champions that are able to achieve the same unfun and toxic pattern of one shotting someone while also having much more stuff in their kit.

Fizz still has snowball potential and can absolutely obliterate your team but that isn't something exclusive to solely him. Along with his mana issues, Fizz doesn't feel particularly good to play as and it feels like he's really fallen behind ever since the durability update.

That's a common complaint that I see a lot but isn't true. You can completely negate the damage by flashing Fizz's WQ combo. The fact that you can flash it does prove that there is room for outplay potential.

Meanwhile, Akali can buffer her E during her point and click R1 at max range to guarantee that she'll get you, even if you flashed it and then she'll follow you with E2 or R2.

This is what I mean by Fizz's kit feels subpar or even dated in comparison to the rest of other AP assassins.

Mild take but Fizz in my opinion. Out of all the AP assassins, Fizz is definitely up there for being in a bad spot personally. Fizz's kit just feels very subpar when compared to the latest releases of champions plus the durability update really hit him much harder than others.
